Hey, if you are lucky enough to come across this review, this is your warning sign: Move on - secure a better place, in a safer area. Avoid the magnetizing marketing because hypocrisy awaits; you will be treated to empty promises in terms of quality unit features, new amenities (that were beyond delayed) and questionable security measures. To elaborate, we signed our Lease Agreement in October '21, and due to the compounding nature of our negative experiences, we have found the truth impossible to suppress. While those of authority at Legacy may attempt to pacify and remove our words, we hope that you will sift through the superficial and find our words and experiences to be valid and credible. Observe the other reviews and comments, there is truth when patterns are present. Here is the run-down of experiences: Roommate's car got stolen not ONCE, but TWICE from the parking garage that is costly and prone to security breach after security breach. I've heard about other cars' door handles being broken or license plates being stolen - consider yourself lucky if your car is still here and wasn't driven off to nowhere. Numerous tenant insights and complaints are suppressed with hollow words and rhetoric: "we are implementing new security measures", "we want to ensure you that our community is safe and livable" without actively presenting tenants with clear evidence of said "new measures". The long shadow of personal financial loss and physical-emotional trauma seems to frequent the building and surrounding areas; hyper-anxiety and dread permeate endlessly, day and night. (Didn't get car back for over 3 months and this time, we have no word about finding it back and even then, it will be un-driveable. However, to hold the reserved spot, we will be required to still pay regardless if you have that said car or not). Suspicious activity looms around every corner, every tenant is at risk. I've seen so many vehicles just wait and trail right behind another car right into the garage. Lately, I've come across random men on different days with backpacks just loitering in the stair area too. In addition to auto theft and crime, on-going construction (related to Legacy or not) on-rattles the building's walls; the noise is incessant and has affected a high percentage of other tenants, especially their animals and children. We paid extra to face the west side as it was once just an open field that we were told wouldn't start construction anytime soon. Now all you see are trucks and unattractive concrete towers. You'll hear beeping, men yelling, machinery from at least 6:30 am til even 7 pm these days. In fact, I work from home full-time and my meetings are interrupted. There is no end in sight. The constant construction will trigger an array of false fire alarms that are highly disruptive and unannounced. Sometimes back to back in one day. They are frequent enough to cause uncertainty and hesitation - what if a real fire occurs? Other tenants have made our living experience inconvenient; every apartment / shared community comes with its complexities and sacrifices, however, building policies are typically broken with little-to-no accountability nor consequence. The hallways smell of smoke/weed, music plays on a loud loop deep into the night (e.g., 11pm-2am), and residue from dragged trash and debris lingers throughout the building, and I could care less, but why does no one seem to say hi back? So hostile. Grateful to have a roof over our heads, but definitely regret this particular lease. ...

I lived at Legacy at Fitz from 8/21-5/22. The apartments are overpriced, especially considering none of the amenities were available until May, a full 9 months after moving in. Upon move in, we had heard from locals that the area in which the building is, is heavy with crime. When approached about this tidbit of information, we were assured the building was safe but “crime doesn’t have a neighborhood”. Like many people here, my car was broken into and subsequently stolen from the “secured garage” I was paying $100 a month for. The thief broke in through the leasing office and gained access to the garage. Be mindful, the same security system at the leasing office, is the same throughout the building for all of the apartments. I have the police report and pictures for anyone who doesn’t believe this to be true. The issue was, the leasing co. knew there were break ins and all they did to circumvent them, was send out an email reminding folks to lock their car doors—because that stops criminals right in there tracks. I made it very clear to the leasing company and Kat Flowers in particular, that I no longer felt safe as I was a single mother with a small child and respectfully requested accountability and to be released from the lease without penalties. I was denied outright and without any reason as to why. The leasing company also made a point to not notify the other tenants in the building of the theft, which is terrible ethics. People have a right to know things like this ARE happening here. If you’re late on your rent by a day, they will shame you by posting notice on your door, for everyone to see, making no attempt to actually hand it to you or knocking on the door. I was promised beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains, which I had until construction started. It’s funny, because construction of this magnitude takes time to prepare for. The leasing company knew this was happening for, at the very least, months and didn’t disclose anything to the west facing tenants until they put up the fences around the site. I would not have taken this apartment if I knew construction would be taking place outside of my apartment 6 days a week at 7am. The fire alarms went off frequently due to the construction and all that was done about it was, an email letting everyone know the cause. The apartment itself was not worth the $1899 I was paying. I do not recommend this apartment building. The staff while friendly really don’t care about anything outside of the rent, fees and the exorbitant amount of money paid for parking in an unsecured garage. The Wi-Fi built in is the absolute worst I’ve ever had. It goes in and out and the modem is on the ceiling (design flaw) so you cannot troubleshoot any issues yourself. You must call Boingo and wait on hold to be transferred to White Sky where they make you hold for almost an hr, to have your modem reset. Many of the tenants I spoke to, had their car broken into, were incredibly upset about the lack of security here and the disruption to the quality of life from the construction. There are plenty of better places to rent from. ...

I would like to personally commemorate Kat, Kierstin, and Cody for their hard work on getting me into my new home. The property is in a great location with friendly staff and well working (and new) utilities. I am excited to see what Legacy at Fitz has in store with their future amenities on the way as well. Oh and they are pet friendly too! ...

2/3 of this place isn’t even built yet… there’s currently 10 parking spots for over 100 residents so most have to park across at the hotel parking. I parked over there and my car got broken into along with MANY other residents and the leasing office has done nothing and still hasn’t finished the parking garage PROMISED IN NOVEMBER it’s been 3+ months. Construction has taken up more parking and sets off the fire alarm falsely so frequently. Wayyyyy too much construction and rent to be living on colfax! ...

TERRIBLE. I’ve been living here for 6 months now. The only good thing I have to say about this place is that maintenance is on point. Otherwise, fire alarms go off at all hours of the night, my car got broken into because there’s no parking on the property, and they’re full of empty promises. Every month the south building and amenities are supposed to be finished “next month”. They’re now forecasting April.. when the original promise was November. I move out shortly after that.. glad my rent paid for all the amenities I’ll never get to use. I brought up my safety concerns and construction delay concerns to management and they just cited rising crime stats in Aurora.. great. DO NOT COME HERE. ...
