For SLO this complex is not bad but the price is sort of high for what you get
I rented from fall '04 through fall '05.

I studied abroad in Cal Poly and I had an apartment @ Mustang Village 2 townhouse.
It was a pretty decent place. I was really lucky to have quiet roommates. And it was really close to Campus what is a big plus.
But there were too many bad things
about that place. Noisy neighbours. Apartment itself was pretty bad. Very thin insulation, mould in the bathroom, dirty wall-to-wall carpets.
Management was pretty bad. Staff was always very helpful but they didn't do much. If there was something broken it took weeks or couple months to fix it.
And they have only 12month leases so be prepared to pay for summer too.
Room was pretty small. About 4m by 5m. It had desk, chair, nice big bed and a closet. It was definedly better than living in a trashcan or sharing a room with some random dude.
Showerroom was pretty awful. It had mould. Even when I cleaned it mould came back. But you could shower there. There was always warm water to shower with.
Living room was decent. We had a tv and a cable. Nothing too much to complaint.
Kitchen was decent. A fridge, stowe, microwave... All what student needed to make cheap dinner for himself!
Overall if you can tolerate little a bit awful living conditions this is your place. Afterall you have to live somewhere... But if you are very sensitive to any minor flaws, stay away from MV and MV2.
I rented from fall '06 through spring '07.
