What ever you do, if you are going to live here (for who knows what reason...) make sure you don't get the apartment near the office, maintenance room, or anywhere near the entrance. Office: It's where a lot of people pass by, and it's not the people I worry about, its how much noise is produced because of it. At night, sometimes even near 1AM, I will have my window open to get some fresh cool air over night, and be woken up by people and families walking past shouting to each other as if they didn't know people lived here and that each other were right in front of them. Be Forewarned! Maintenance: These guys are just the worst! I moved in in May of 07', it's now Nov '07, and I'm still waiting on my maintenance requests from before we moved in. (one of the blinds broke in the living room=NO PRIVACY, Weather strip on living room door is broken=losing heat/AC, and for the longest time, our second bathroom had something go wrong, and it overflowed with all this water on the floor, and it took them 3 weeks to come out to take a look.) Sadly, they came at 8AM in the FREAKING MORNING... to "fix" the toilet. They came in shouting "HELLO???!" and being a college student who doesn't have to get up for at least another hour, I couldn't believe my ears... If I had a gun... oh, if I had a gun... Staff: The management and staff in the rental office are all nice and sweet. But their looks can be deceiving. I'm still waiting on the promised documents of when we moved in and signed all the paperwork. She has promised to bring them up herself at least twice, and we went to the office at least 3 times requesting it. Still waiting for it... (remember, May to Nov...) DO NOT GET AN APARTMENT NEAR THE ENTRANCE!!! This is (from what I heard) the worst spot of all. Residents, with their crappy cars and loud bass that try to make themselves feel all gansta, make them look like giant idiots. And who is to pay? The poor people who live next to the entrance. Yes, there is only one entrance... and with glass windows and doors that only work about as good as drywall, I feel sorry for them with people coming home at 2AM for who knows what reason. Have a kid? Great! Keep them away from this place! It's probably safer on Monument Blvd in Concord than here. People driving really fast, loud bass (don't hurt the poor kid's ears!!! Just because you've lost your hearing appearantly...), and no so good looking characters. Most likely, you will encounter a drug dealer at least once per day. (they are everywhere here) So, like the old saying, ignorance is bliss. Also, if you need a fix, live here... oh yeah... hmmm 90% of people here most likely have drugs or know a good dealer. To finish it off, I feel like giving this place some credibility. Security is fair. Not great... but fair. Every so often I will see a security car drive by, or even the police. It's nice to see them driving around. It's even nicer to see 3 police cars outside my apartment with their lights going, talking to some crying bum on the streets as he is handcuffed. It just makes me feel safer... you know? Knowing that the cops will respond quickly? Keep your windows shut and barred, your doors locked, your car locked and alarmed, and keep all personal "pricey" items out of site anywhere! The only reason I can say you should live here, is it's a low income housing apartment. So you pay a lower rate, but if you want, pay an extra hundred a month, and move across the street to my friend's old apartment. (I think it's called Lakeshore or it's on a street called lakeshore? At the intersection of Kevin Dr and Willow Pass rd.) Not as good of parking, but I always feel safer there. Oh, and never go in the pool here. It looks gross, and infested with some unknown disease. And to top this whole review off, instead of 9-9 being a typical business hour for most apartments, it's 8AM to 4pm here. That means, yes, you may wake up to the maintenance guys standing in your doorway as you lie naked in bed. You may also return from work if you work a full time job with a maintenance request, and the office staff will have left for the day. (and don't bother leaving a message, they never call you back) All in all... DON'T LIVE HERE! I rented from summer '07 through summer '08. ...
