I have lived at a Sky Properties building 604 East Orange Grove Ave in Burbank for four years, and it has been a fairly decent experience up until now. I recently requested assistance with reviewing the security cameras at my building, as I believe I may have accidentally left my cell phone on the roof of my car while parked in the parking garage of my building. The management, to this very moment, has not returned any of my multiple phone calls. There is no physical leasing office to walk into, so I am left emailing and calling over and over to no avail. The one person that I finally got on the phone did absolutely nothing after passing my request off to someone named Mike, who was said to be the one who reviews the cameras, and I never heard anything back after my request to review the footage. Since then, I have had one email thread sent to me by request, and my email response for camera review was completely ignored. As of today, I have sent my last and final email and hope to resolve this matter directly without having to go the legal route. The parking garage entryway sits wide open due to the garage gate being inoperable and has remained wide open for anyone to walk into since I first moved into the building. The parking garage gate worked for literally less than a week of my move-in date back in April of 2021. The front door entry of my building is also inoperable and sits wide open daily for anyone to enter. There are many people who daily trespass in the parking garage. The management continues to raise rent every year and renovate apartments but has yet to fix the most significant need of the building, which is securing the parking garage, front gate, along with fixing the front driveway entrance into the garage, which damages any vehicle attempting to park inside of the garage due to the improper grade and elevation of the paved downhill slope entering into the garage. Tenants with cars, such as myself, are forced to enter and exit through the alleyway to avoid damaging the front end of their vehicle. If you are looking to move into a Sky Properties-run building, be advised and do so at the risk of staff and management potentially ignoring your calls and emails, with no physical leasing office or manager to address your needs as a paying tenant in person. In fact, you can only be certain that your rent will increase its maximum yearly amount and that anything that needs to be fixed or replaced in the shared spaces of the building will be ignored. Unless it's a new unit being readied for another tenant, forget about it. ...
