This is in continuation of my previous post to include more photos: My experience with Alpine LA Properties has been so distressing that I feel like I have to share what happened. Moving in here was supposed to be a fresh start, but it quickly turned into a nightmare, and if I can help even one person avoid the same experience, then this review is worth it. On move-in day, 12/27/24 I saw my first cockroach. At first, I tried to stay calm and hoped it was a one-time thing. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. I’ve seen live cockroaches every single day since I moved in. I have a severe phobia, and the infestation has caused me constant anxiety and stress. Despite submitting multiple maintenance requests, nothing changed. I even bought two bottles of pesticide out of my own pocket—both are now half-empty from frequent use. And yet, the cockroaches just keep coming back. When I reached out to management for help, they didn’t take the issue seriously. They claimed they needed “documentation of the infestation” because during their inspection, they only saw “one live roach” and concluded that the unit was “pest-free.” Never mind the fact that I had submitted several maintenance requests and had two nearly empty bottles of pesticide as proof that the issue wasn’t isolated. I felt completely dismissed, as though my concerns didn’t matter. The lack of empathy and action was frustrating and disheartening. Eventually, things got so bad that I formally requested to move out early. I made it clear that I planned to leave by January 10th, but despite the urgency and seriousness of the situation, upper management has not responded at all. I’ve received zero acknowledgment, no communication—nothing. It’s been incredibly stressful to feel so ignored by the very people who should be responsible for ensuring tenants have a safe and livable home. The situation became unbearable to the point where I couldn’t even stay in the apartment anymore. I’ve been forced to stay with a friend because living there became impossible. Imagine paying rent for a place you can’t even live in because it’s so uninhabitable. That’s the position I’m in right now—displaced, frustrated, and counting down the days until I can finally move out for good. After going through all of this, I started asking around and learned that tenants in other buildings managed by Alpine LA Properties have had similar issues. Persistent maintenance problems, pest infestations, and unresponsive management seem to be common complaints. Hearing these stories confirmed what I was already feeling: this isn’t just my bad luck—there’s a pattern here. To make matters worse, Alpine LA Properties seems more concerned with controlling their public image than actually addressing tenant concerns. They’ve disabled comments on Instagram and filter comments on TikTok, which makes it difficult for prospective tenants to see the truth. It feels deceptive, as though they’re deliberately hiding the reality of what living in their properties is like. I wish I had known all of this before signing a lease. The apartments may look clean and well-maintained on the surface, but once you move in, you might find yourself facing the same nightmare I did—constant cockroach infestations, unhelpful management, and complete radio silence when you ask for help. If you’re considering renting from Alpine LA Properties, I urge you to think twice. You deserve a home where you feel safe and supported. Stay far away from Alpine LA Properties—you’ll be glad you did. ...
