After 8 months living here, I was ecstatic to get out of my lease. The community is physically nice, but I was constantly frustrated by incompetent and unresponsive management, the lack of visitor parking, and the high price tag. On my move-in day, *no* manager or leasing agent was available, and I was assisted by a maintenance worker who couldn't find my paperwork, asked me to sign a lease without being able to answer any of my questions, and told me, "If you have any questions, call Candyse next week." That should have been my signal to exit. When I rented the "clubhouse" for a party, I was told to arrive at 6 pm. When I arrived a little early (5:30) to pick up the keys, the leasing agent was locking up the doors to go home, even though the office doesn't close until 6. I told her we had rented the clubhouse and she said, "Oh, Candyse didn't tell me about that; she didn't leave any keys for you; I don't know what to tell you." I had to cancel my birthday party after having planned it weeks ahead and paid a $100 deposit for the space. After the "party," I was supposed to get There is only one competent agent in the office, and she is often unavailable and doesn't work every day. Often, you will receive the response, "Only Candyse can help you with that," even if you're making basic inquiries. Every time I called or visited the office, I wouldn't receive an adequate or accurate response until days, or sometimes weeks, later. The garbage area is often a sea of trash -- residents don't use the provided trash bins and instead just leave garbage bags everywhere. The pool is nice but sometimes uninviting: on two separate occasions, I noticed a group of people having a party, drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana in the hot tub and leaving pizza boxes lying out on the tables. Try Monte Vista apts across the street! I rented from fall '07 through spring '08. ...
