Marina Playa is a HORRIBLE place to reside. I lived there for almost 3 years (I know, why didn't I get out sooner) and each year became worse and worse. It seems as though their number one priority is $$, and only then do you see a response to your needs. And by response, I mean NONE AT ALL. Broken railings, waterless pools, broken heaters and ovens that take over 6 weeks to repair. If this was the only problem, then I wouldn't complain because many apartment complexes are like this. However, there has been an enormous increase in GRAFFITI around the complex, as well as CAR THEFTS and POLICE ACTIVITY. As a tenant I thought that we would receive some sort of flier to inform us of what actions the management would take to create a safe environment for the tenants, but we have received nothing in regards to a plan of action. Lastly (although the list can go on and on) the management of this facility provides ZERO customer service. If you enjoy dogs barking all day long, even after you've expressed your concerns to the office, then this is the place for you. If you enjoy management that gives you attitude for asking a simple question, then Marina Playa is the place for you. When I turned in my termination of lease request, they didn't try and rectify the situation at all; no questions were asked as to why i was breaking my contract early. In fact, no concern was exhibited at all. The only thing I was told was that I owed $2000 in order to buy out my lease. Simply ridiculous.
