Located in a newly revamped part of Hollywood, I was attracted to the cool clubs, trendy restaurants and shopping. The building itself is okay. Not exactly luxury...more like a stripped down, industrial setting, which is fine for work but lacks the creature comforts that are necessary to make it feel like a home. For instance, no bathtub (just a shower stall). The problem with this place (or any other "live/work" loft community run by Creative Environments) is that their single focus is to get as much money out of their tenants as possible. The rent alone is high enough but on top of that they have some BS $800 maintenance charge...so a studio loft ended up costing me $2650 a month. And before my lease was up they hit me up for another two thousand supposedly for building maintenance!! When I had a leak that went from the bathroom wall to the kitchen floor, it took about ten phone calls and two days before they sent someone to fix it! It is also very noisy...that didn't really bother me, but if you want peace and quiet at 4:00AM, you won't find it here. Nightly noise includes music, fights, traffic and parties. I do not recommend Cosmo Lofts unless you enjoy throwing away your hard earned money. I rented from summer '07 through summer '08. ...
