I have lived here since 2014. The location and price are wonderful. Management and employees are great. Maintenance issues are resolved same day.The apartments all have new central air conditioning anddouble pane windows. I love my apartment! I rented from fall 2014 through summer 2016. ...

I read the negative reviews on this site but decided to go for it anyway, since my philosophy is only upset bitches complain online, guess what I was right. Been here for a month now and it is great, right across from campus, three blocks from 4th ave and quiet, almost too quiet. One person said you can hear your neighbors, what a douche id like to slap that fuck, the walls are brick you cant hear shit from your neighbors but you can hear the traffic on Euclid, but its a metropolitan area so that's to be expected, anyway for $610 in the bay area (home) id be in the slums, great deal and cool apartments, im posting this for the realists not the whining punks. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

Let me just start off by stating that this place was excessively infested by cockroaches and mice when I first moved in and I had to deal with them myself. Also, within the first month that I moved in, a transvestite was washing blood off his clothes in the pool in the middle of the night. That mostly sums up my experiences with Alpine Chalet. But let me delve a little deeper. I rented my single room the fall semester of 2012 and the spring of 2013. The location is great and I thought I was getting a deal with a furnished place. However, found the furnishings were horrible. And when I asked the landlord to switch out my bed, because the frame was broken, it NEVER happened. No Air conditioning. The swamp coolers hardly work half the time during your rent. The smoke detector batteries have to be changed out every month. They landlords and main maintenance worker were always grumpy and not very helpful. With no internet or A/C and horrible furnishings available, this place was way overpriced. Also, there were various hazards all over the place like the metal stakes in the cement outside the gates. Lastly, I was swindled out of my security deposit of $250 because of bullshit maintenance cleanings and 8 days of rent into June. The lease agreement makes it sound like you'll get your security deposit back, but those asshole landlords keep it all. I left that place cleaner than when I moved in. ...

I lived at the Alpine Chalet Apartments for 3 years until I graduated from The University of Arizona. The rent includes gas, water, and trash. I only paid for electricity, cable and internet. There was a $250 security deposit most of which was returned to me. My apartment was spacious and well maintained. When I moved in the apartment was freshly painted and thoroughly cleaned.Management provided my furniture at no extra charge. Maintenance requests were taken care of promptly. The cooling was adequate and my unit contained a room air conditioning unit in addition to the cooler. The rent is very reasonable compared to comparable nearby rentals. I do not have a vehicle so it was very important to be so close to campus. There are bicycle racks inside the gaes as well as vehicle parking. The residents were quiet and respectful. The courtyard and pool are very relaxing. I highly recommend this property. I rented from fall '08 through spring 11. ...

This apartment is close to campus, you can't get any closer as it is across the street from Coronado dorms. It's an easy walk to class. However, you will be sacrificing all else so that you can walk to class. This apartment complex will be leased out to a jewish fraternity August 2011-12 school year. I would not recommend living here for several reasons. This apartment is very old and run down. The air conditioning is horrible. I enjoy warm weather but even I can't stand it here. You don't get very much control over the temperature of your place...if they have it turned on, you can flip a switch to have poor quality air conditioning. It's so uncomfortable that you will have to buy at least one fan and will probably try to be out of the apartment as often as you can. While the maintenance isn't horrible, we only had 3 washers and 2 dryers for months. This meant a lot of waiting for the dryers. The management isn't very trustworthy here as it waited until March to inform its tenants this year that they would not be able to live in Alpine Chalet next year as it would be leased out completely for the fraternity. While the current tenants are generally quiet, you can hear neighbors' conversations and sneezes. If you live on one side of the apartment you will have terrible street noise. The area does not seem particularly safe, there is a very sketchy backside to the apartment and although it is gated, the front gate has no purpose because when you are outside you can just reach over the gate to open it. Just don't live here!!! I rented from fall 10 through spring 11. ...
