I have been living in this complex since April 2007. At first I really enjoyed living here - the grounds were pristine and it was nice and quiet. Over the past year (and three management companies later), it has become a "party" place with increasing numbers of college students. They take over the pool on the weekends, blaring their music and playing beer pong. Rude college guys call out to me when I am out walking my dog. I'm not even comfortable using the pool area, the workout facility or any of the common areas. My neighbors are two college girls who have banged drunkenly on my door at 6 a.m. because they thought it was their apartment. They leave garbage outside of their door for weeks at a time. They also have two dogs who run around without collars on and who bark (no, shriek) incessantly when the girls are not home. I, finally after at least a month of the dog barking, talked to the manager and he told me that sometimes it's best to work it out on my own with the neighbors. I told him we never see them because I work full time and they seem to be gone all the time or they are coming home drunk. He shrugged his shoulders at me. The girl who works there, Abby, is useless. Last year I left a message with her about renewing my lease and she never even passed it on to the manager. She's also one of the most unintelligent people I have ever met, which is proven with each encounter I have with her. I also told the current manager about the decreased pool hours from last summer due to an alcohol-related "incident" in which a security person was assaulted. After that, the residents were not allowed to have alcohol at the pool and it closed at 10 p.m. The new manager said that he doesn't see a problem with the alcohol at the pool and that large parties and beer pong do not concern him. The workout facility has been without blinds in it for at least a year and a half. I feel like I'm in a fish bowl whenever I'm in there. Which isn't much anymore because it's not open 24 hours a day, which is what I was originally told I was paying for in regards to the higher than average rent price. The business center hasn't been open for a year. Once I tried using the computer and it sparked and smelled like burnt wire. This weekend I got up the courage to lay by the pool for an hour. The pool water was cloudy and I am pretty sure I was the only one there who spoke English. A family with small children was playing in the water with a ripped up Styrofoam cup, which they left in the pool when they were finished. This morning I was jogging at 5 a.m. and saw the cement ash tray/trash can outside of the pool gate cracked into three pieces. I also saw two chairs in the pool area turned onto their sides with the legs broken on both. I wonder if the manager will have a problem with alcohol and parties now. Today my husband texted me and said that our dog found chicken bones in the common grass area outside of our building. I guess someone had some buffalo wings for dinner last night. This place is a joke and one by one, each apartment unit is being filled with the lowest class of residents this place has ever seen. I rented from spring '07 through summer '09. ...
