I moved here from Tucson on Saturday, 2/20/16 due to a job transfer from Tucson to Phoenix. It turned out to be a HUGE mistake! The apartment was in no way ready on move in day:There was no hot water – I had to make approximately 9 calls to emergency maintenance from 2PM on Saturday before maintenance finally showed up late on Sunday, 2/21/16. Bathing on Saturday 2/20/16 was possible only by boiling pots of hot water and pouring them into the tub. The washing machine was broken and leaked all over the foyer. The hoses were connected backwards thus it was not possible to wash using hot water. The leak had to be corrected separately for reasons unknown to me.The front window screen was punched out.The fireplace grate was missing. There was a metal frame with sharp edges in the bathroom with no doors attached to it and a broken shower curtain bar with sharp edges just above it. There was a sharp, razor like piece of metal sticking vertically out from under the refrigerator door that nearly tore my foot open. Fortunately I was wearing socks and the sock was sliced, not my foot. The above issues were corrected over 2/22//16 through 2/26/16 however it was necessary that I was physically present in the office each of those days insisting that they be corrected as there was apparently complete indifference and no sense of urgency to make any repairs. The dryer duct is currently taped to the wall, i.e., there is no external dryer vent. I am still waiting for this to be corrected. There is no fitness center despite advertising to the contrary. The fitness center was closed down and nobody in the front office notified me or has a clue as to when or if it will ever be available (I was forced to purchase a 6 month outside membership but had expected this to be provided as part of my rent as stated on their website.) The website continues to fraudulently advertise the fitness center. I contacted the City of Phoenix and learned that the property management had attempted to convert the fitness center into an apartment however was stopped for safety reasons and because of city building code violations. The room that was once the fitness center is currently locked down and filled with debris. Due to the extensive history of building code safety violations and infractions as well as a fire that had occurred, the City of Phoenix immediately opened a new case against BR on 3/11/16 after I contacted them with my findings. There are broken light bulbs with exposed elements in the common areas. There is no certificate of inspection visible in the elevator. The inside corridors are filthy and smell badly. The 1st stairwell at the front of the property near the exit gate reeks of urine. There are dirty mops, bags of garbage in front of some of the residences and shopping carts observed in the parking lot.The office staff is curt, dismissive and mostly unavailable. On 2/25/16, one of the maintenance staff became enraged, refusing to do any further work in my apartment when I politely asked (NOT ACCUSED!) where some things were placed during the repairs. (They did not put some bathroom items back where I had placed them and I could not find them). I was promised to have my balcony screened in and of course it never happened. When I inquired as to the status of this, the staff member in the office stated that it had been completed. (!!!!)The concrete floor by the door frame on my balcony is crumbling. There is a spongy β€œcrater” in my living room under the rug by the fireplace. Needless to say, I do not wish to reside in such adverse conditions. The landlord was in violation of the lease on the day of move in. The unit and common areas were and still are in deplorable condition. It is not safe. It is decidedly unpleasant, a source of embarrassment and psychological stress and it is expensive. I wish to legally be released from the terms of this lease due to the multiple violations by the landlord and the ongoing safety issues that are consistently unresolved. I rented from winter 2016 through winter 2016. ...

I have been here for 6months and am so excited to be out. When I moved in I was excited because it looked like a nice place with a great location. When we moved in we informed the management of things that needed fixed and that our storage unit on the balcony was locked and we didn't have a key for it. Now six months later they still didn't fix the things. Also I finally had to pick the lock for the storage unit so I could use it. They never came to unlock it. We had also told them that our dryer wasn't working and it took them 3 months to come fix it. Some of the things we told them to fix were- Our bathroom door doesn't close, the bath tub drips constantly, the kitchen light flickers and makes a loud buzzing sound, our dead bolt sticks (broke 2 keys in it so far). I have had to call the office at least 2 a month to try and get things fixed. We also had a bed bug problem about a month ago and they said "well we'll call someone and let you know when they can come" a week later at 7am there was a guy at our door from a pest control company saying he was there to spray... I had to tell them they would have to come back the next day to get everything ready. Then after they sprayed the carpet cleaners came a couple weeks later at 8am and we had to rush through getting everything off the floors and furniture moved because the office didn't let us know when they would becoming and we couldn't have them come the next day. I do not recommend this place at all... They never fix things and they only clean up the complex about once a month which gets pretty gross. I think this place really needs an over haul... In the management and the maintenance. I rented from spring 10 through fall 10. ...

What a difference a year makes. One minute you have management that goes for the community neighborhood feel, the next you have management that goes for the city projects feel. Lazy couldn't even begin to adequately describe the current management team. While there is currently nothing seriously horrible about this complex, there are just a lot of little annoying things like broken gate locks, locks that don't match the resident keys, shabby weight room equipment, dog poop that isn't picked up, lights out in the parking lot in fact they only fix things that have to be fixed. For example, rather than fix the pool lock, they took it off. The Fire Marshall had to come chain the pool fence until they replaced the lock. When they finally did replace the lock, it was with one that didn't match the pool key. So, guest got a little extra excercise by having to walk to the other side of the pool to access a gate where their key would work. I have also heard about a few maintenance problems that have taken weeks to fix. The only way to describe it, is that they are just plain lazy. If you don't want the headache, find someplace else to live. I rented from spring '04 through winter '08. ...
