I lived in this property for a 12 month period. First and foremost the pet policy imposed upon us is unfair and discriminatory. . I have a small cat. At the time of lease signing, I have been charged a $400 non-refundable pet fee and then I was charged each month a $25 pet fee. And finally, at the time of vacating the property despite the fact that I was present during the final inspection and not being made aware of anything at that time, I was sent a bill of $ 696.39 which includes $600 charges related to my so-called pet damages. I believe this is unfair and discriminatory in nature. https://www.damemagazine.com/2022/07/06/pet-rent-is-the-newest-tool-of-housing-discrimination/ https://www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2022/07/25/home-pet-fees I am also dissatisfied with the management and maintenance. During the course of my stay on this property, I had several maintenance requests including the ones related to windows not being sealed well and the cold weather coming into my bedroom. What I have been told by the maintenance staff is that there is nothing they can do however, if I want, I could get a ticker curtain at my expense to fix the situation. Out of many other maintenance requests, I also called maintenance staff in regards to a leak in the bathtub faucets while taking a shower. Almost half of the water is leaking from the faucet instead of going up to the shower head. The response I was given by the staff is that this is normal and there is nothing they can do about it. The result : I ended up getting higher water and sewer bills each month. I can go on and on. Despite the fact that the location of the property is wonderful and the condition of the apartments is good, I and my family have had a horrible experience, and eventually, at the end of my first year, we moved out. ...
