Was great when I moved in Jan 2019, but now I have to leave. They installed this "smart" thermostat in 2020, which restricted lowering the temperature to 68F. Ok, fine, I can deal with that. But on 8JUL22 we received a text that on 11JUL22 they were mandating temperatures no lower than 72. You can not opt out. I tried talking to them to explain that I would have to run a portable A/C unit to keep my room cool enough to sleep in, which would ensure that their environment friendly campaign (which is definitely not just a ploy for them to save money) would backfire in a big way -- but they wouldn't listen. Any idiot can see this is just another fat cat trying to scam their customers. Also the noise here is awful. I don't just mean the random people driving through the neighborhood with their bass up insanely loud. There are quiet hours after 11pm, but if you call the MPs because your neighbors are having a party they will 100% not come out. I've been woken up by a party two doors down from me, gone over there and banged on the door for several minutes, but their music was too loud that no one could hear me. My wife told me she could hear me banging on their door from our living room. So this is the kind of thing you'll expect living here. They also have a parking policy in the lease that precludes people from parking on the grass. They do not enforce this policy. I frequently have people parked in the grass across from my garage, which traps me in there. I emailed them several times about this, with pictures, and nothing changed. I called the MPs. Nothing. I called a tow truck, and was informed that since it's on base they can't do anything about it. So I just had to call work and explain that I needed a ride or I wasn't going to make it in. It's just madness. Don't live here. ...
