The great and spacious building. I think the management is trying to please the owners, with the renters taking the shaft. The costco furniture is nice but really but too vain. Sure its two blocks from campus if you have classes in the dorms. I rented from fall '08 through fall '08. ...

These apartments are really nice. Pool heated year round, rec/work out room, big screen TVs. You are def paying for it all though. It's pretty expensive. The people are ok. There seem to be a lot of snobby rich kids. I just lived there cuz everywhere else was full and I don't think I'll do it again. I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

This is a terrific place. It has all the nice things like a pool, big screen tv, rec room, fitness area, underground covered parking. The place has terrific parties and small group activities. The price is high but it is worth it. I would highly recommend Alpine Village. The management staff is friendly and helpful. I rented from spring '08 through fall '08. ...

This place is the "Ritz" of apartment complexes in Provo. It's got it all except for the bellhop. The apartments come with nice pleather couches, a Vizio flat screen mounted in the living room (I think its 45 inches), tiled flooring in the kitchen and bathroom vanity area, granite counter tops for the kitchen and bathroom vanity area, and alder cabinets throughout. I have never been in a nicer furnished apartment ever. The rooms are a bit small...but they are private...there is a twin bed, a desk and drawers...all that you really need. There is enough storage room for a normal person (Paris Hilton wannabees might need more space). The parking garage is all underground and the ramps down to it are HEATED! That is a very nice plus come the winter months. I have seen the office personnel change since I have been there and those that are actually the ones you deal with are very helpful and willing to go to bat for you. I have lived in numerous apartment complexes in P-Town and would have to say I have found my home away from home at Alpine Village. I rented from winter '08 through summer '08. ...

For the most part, the actual apartment is pretty good. The rooms are pretty small but that's the way it goes and the underground parking is nice. My thing with this place is that most of the time what management says and what they do are two different things! They definitely like your money more than they like you and they do what they can to take it from you. They don't have much respect for their tenants but will be really nice to you when you talk with them face to face but then will but then will completely turn around and try to rip you off. A couple of my friends who moved out over six months ago still haven't gotten their deposits back (even though they left a forwarding address and were never informed of any repairs they were being charged for). Looks nice but you'll be happier somewhere else. I rented from winter '08 through fall '08. ...

Alpine is the best place to live in Provo in my opinion!! Great social place to live. Everything is brand new. I have never had a problem with management. The fix things in the apt the next day. Rent does go down during the summer...and the few married people that live here work here so maybe people are misinformed. If you want a fun, clean, social place to live, move to Alpine!! Be careful before making the decision to move into this place. I had to sign a year contract and I am already regretting that decision. I don't know how I will sell since they do not lower rent at all spring/summer. This place is definitely not tenant friendly and at times has been a complete nightmare to work with. Rooms are far too small for the price and their website misrepresents the place, it is not exclusively single student housing, we are surrounded by married couples, which makes things a bit awkward, only because they cannot sell all of their contracts to singles. No one wants to pay through the nose only to then be nickled and dimed by ridiculous cleaning checks. Then to top it off they locked our ward out of the club house for ward prayer and did not bother to tell anyone why. I am not sure who is really running this place but if I were an owner here, I would be looking for new management to protect my investment. I rented from fall '07 through winter '08. ...

this place sucks. theres underground parking which is good for the winter, and its cool that theres a gym and other stuff, but it was crazy expensive and not worth it. management is stupid and only helps you out if they know you personally. we tried to change apartments but they lied to our faces and then helped other people out. the rent was really expensive and when i first moved in, only 20% of the furniture was there. the rooms are tiny and closets are practically non existent, and there were a ton of things broken or made badly that we were charged for. also, there was the fact that during the summer if we opened our blinds you would be blinded by all of the people sunbathing in swimwear that was clearly against the honor code. The ward during spring/summer was much better and the people were nicer, but most people there during the fall and winter were superficial and went to church just to show off their clothes or talk to friends, not to learn more about the gospel. also, something that really pissed me off was if i was trying to study and people would throw random parties making it impossible to get any work done. If you are a hard worker and you actually care about school, don't live here because most of the people here just play around every night of the week and obviously dont care about school. I do have to say that the management is really dishonest and they do not help you in any way no matter how crappy life can get. The people here are chill they are really laid back and they aren't snotty ( well some of them are but that happens anywhere you live). During Fall and Winter semester the cleaning checks are overly intense- its like a check out cleaning than a cleaning check. The lady who did it was a nazi about it. Spring and Summer has been way nice just because everyone seems way more relaxed. The rooms and apt are TEENY and the club house is small and the pool is a JOKE! It literally has like a maximum of 8 people for an entire complex of 300+ students. Diane and about two other girls know what they are doing the rest of them need to be trained more. The parties SUCK! and they do it during finals week and so if you live here don't study at home that week- do it at school or someone else apt complex. The parking is awesome. This is by far the worst place ever. Management and ownership is horrible. They would continually enter the apartment without permission or contractually obligated notices. When confronted they lied despite hard evidence. They blow off their tennets as if they were the king and queens of past. The apartments themselves are tiny, especially the rooms. The furnature is rediculous. I moved in two months after the apartment was first rented and the couch had already fallen to the floor, the table was extremely wobbly, the dishwasher was never properly installed. It is just HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY. ...

Prepare to have your money taken from you... I am a really nice person. Alpine Village management has almost driven me to murder. They charged me $56 dollars when my roommate damaged my apartment. They took my bike and charged me $25 dollars to retrieve it. They charged me fees and fees. I have gone weeks without internet, they do not lower their prices for summer or spring. When they installed the washer, they flooded my apartment (with no offer to lower rent for the inconvenience). I cannot wait to leave this place. I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

Too expensive for what you get. Bedrooms are TINY and there is absolutely no storage space. Not to mention the landlord entered our apartment and locked the room that was empty so we could not store anything in this room. What a waste of space. Cleaning checks are a joke sometimes, we always kept our apartment clean but they would find a reason to charge you. Unlike most apartments I have lived, they will charge you if you fail your 1st clean check. Pool hours suck, they close the clubhouse and pool at 10:00 except on the weekends they keep it open maybe an hour later. There are also married people whom live in this complex, don't know why BYU allows this exception. There are plenty of Bathsheba's. Like other reviews said, many of the people are a bit worldly and not very social(Too clicky). But I do have to say there has been drastic improvement of the spring/summer semesters, probably due to the decrease in rent prices. The bishoprics have always been great! My overall experience here has been poor, they will charge you for stupid little things, the Landlord/Owner must be a greedy sucker. Would not recommend this housing to a friend. This place was horrible. The rooms are SO TINY and the closet is literally a hole in the wall. The only good things I have to say about Alpine Village are regarding some pretty immaterial things: They have a good color scheme for the apartment and parking was always easy. But it DOES NOT make up for the fact that the management is a bunch of bumbling, lying THIEVES. They will nickel and dime you for "hidden fees", they will make promises to follow through with certain things then retract their promises, the women in the office are a JOKE--none of them know what is going on and they certainly don't communicate well with anyone. They are RUDE to tenants (I have literally had one scream at me) and they are forgetful. The pretty decorations are NOT worth putting up with management that STEALS nearly half of your deposit for "carpet cleaning" and that is not capable of managing books in an honest manner. Not only that, but the people that live there are shallow, for the most part. Like someone said earlier, it's a FASHIONS show. The parties they throw are lame and way too loud. Even the flat screen TV that came with the apartment was crappy in quality. I wish I had found some place else to live instead of having about 2000 dollars stolen from me. (They said they only had 12 month contracts available but lo' and behold, there were others that managed to obtain 8 month contracts.) I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

Things are always falling apart and it takes management forever to fix anything. The bedrooms are really, really small. I have had a closet bigger than this bedroom before. We also have an ant problem, but management doesn't believe us and won't do anything about it. Utilities are fixed, which is fine, but they way over charge you for them, plus they are raising the rate this coming year (as well as rent, so I heard). Mangement thinks it's really cool to throw huge parties in the courtyard during finals week, so if you like to study at home, you can kiss your test scores good-bye. Probably I wouldn't complain so much, but when I'm paying nearly $400 a month for a closet and no storage space, it is definitely not worth it to me to stay. They've also lied to us many, many times. Make sure you get everything in writing and keep copies! If you don't, it will come back to bite you in the butt. The ward is also... mostly a fashion show. The great majority of people who live here are rich and like to show off their style (as well as lots of skin) and there is nothing done to enforce BYU standards. Some of the bishoprics are really great (there are three wards during fall/winter), but others don't really do much to reach out to their ward members and you can easily fall through the cracks. Hometeaching and Visiting teaching rarely gets done, which is sad considering how close everyone is to each other. The pool and the clubhouse are both nice, but the clubhouse gets over-crowded very quickly and it's very stuffy. Also, the ping-pong table and the piano keep breaking. The weightroom is well equipped and people use it all the time. The pool is mostly used for the deck (suntanning, no swimming), but it is heated during the winter to a lush 95 degrees. Avoid it at night unless you like watching all that hanky-panky. NOT WORTH IT! I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

Alpine is such a great place to live!! SOOOO social!! Brand new apartments so everything is clean. No problem with parking. They heat the pool during the winter so it is just like a big hot tub. Management is easy to work with. If people have problems it is just because they did something wrong. Of course they will charge you if you don't do a cleaning check or lose a key just like everywhere else. Such a great place to live!! I rented from fall '07 through fall '08. ...

The apartments are really nice and easy to clean because they're brand new. The people here are really nice too and parking is great. The rooms are quite small and the management sucks. They definitely rip you off and play favorites with select tenants. Upon moving in, the first night we didn't have any furniture and didn't get our table for a month. They didn't offer any discount on our rent for the inconvenience and we still have to deal with random construction workers (although it isn't as bad horrible as it was all during fall semester). The only reason i wouldn't recommend living here is the price for the small apartment and the crappy management. If you don't care about that, then it's great. oh... and there's not hot tub and no grass either. I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

This place is ok. It is pretty expensive for the things you have, I mean there are better places and cheaper. The managers will always find away to get money out of your pocket. The rooms are small for the price, and the only thing I think it was fine was the TV, just bc it was a plasma TV and that's it. when the cleaning checks the ones who revise it are very hard to satisfied sometimes, and it's pretty annoying. It's not worth the price. I rented from fall '07 through winter '08. ...

Pretty nice apartments and good location. People there are cool but management will find ways to rip you off - that's the biggest complaint right now and a good portion of the tenants are currently having issues. I just got out of mediation with BYU's dispute resolution committee and it's been a pain. I rented from fall '07 through winter '08. ...
