WARNING: YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK --- Also, the management is horrible. Avoid at all costs! Not worth it at all. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11.

I would NOT recommend Millennium!!!! They office staff are not friendly and the fees are ridiculous! I got charged $15 EXTRA dollars because I had a top level apartment! (That's all they had left!?) I found that pathetic and not right at all. Then once I moved out I got a bill saying I owed $100.91 worth of damage?!?! How?! We have to get a professional carpet cleaning before we move out?! I'm so disgusted with them. Please save your wallet books and time and look Elsewhere!!!!! I rented from April 2012 to April 2013! I will never go back! I rented from spring 11 through spring 11. ...

I would highly recommend Millennium Apartments to anyone looking for a great apartment at the right price. The management staff was great. Every time I went in to pay rent, put in a maintenance request, or anything else they were so friendly and knew my name. Maintenance almost always addressed my issues the same day and did a great job making sure the issue was resolved. I shopped other apartments before signing a lease at Millennium and found that the price was a much better deal that other apartments in Bloomington. For a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment that had a huge walk in closet, living room, dining room, and great kitchen it only cost me $757, which included water, sewage, trash, internet and cable. The only utility I had to pay myself was electricity which usually stay around $60 a month. If you are looking for a college party atmosphere this is not it. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and most of my neighbors were young couples, grad students, or people that worked at Cook, Baxter, and a few that worked at the hospital. I still made a lot of friends with the people around me and had a great time hanging out with people that weren't trying to get trashed every night. When I would tell people where I lived they would say that it was too far from campus, but I think that is untrue. It only took me at most 8 - 10 minutes to get to the farthest point of campus from the west side and they had a great private shuttle service that goes right to IU campus during the day. I think it is a big misconception in Bloomington among students that the west side is too far and they would rather live on campus or on the east side. In my opinion the west side has way less traffic and the rent is much less than places like the Stratum, the fields, or the woods at latimer. You are also getting the same style apartment with more included. I honestly hate the traffic and construction on the east side and I am so happy I chose to live at Millennium. They have a great fitness center with a separate weight room and cardio room that are open 24 hours. The pool is HUGE and indoors which means it is open year round. The staff and my neighbors were so friendly! Look no further for an apartment. Don't let the negative comments on here deceive you. This place really has it all and if I didn't have to move back home to California when I graduated I would have stayed here again. I only wish I had found Millennium before my Senior year. I rented from winter 10 through winter 11. ...

I really enjoyed my stay at Rolling Woods in Millennium apartments. The gym was great and the pool was perfect for my kids to play all year wrong. I had a few issues in the units and the office staff was always very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quite, safe, confortable place to live. I moved out because my husband and I move to Indy for work. My move out was great and very stress fee. The charges that I recieved were very minimal. I had a few broken blinds that I didn't replace and carpet cleaning charge which was all something expected. Hey I got the majority of my deposit back which I was not expecting. I rented from summer '09 through summer 11. ...

I totally agree with all the negative comments about millennium properties. They charged an excessive move out amount to us . We moved in in July 09 and moved out May 12. They charged us 1810.53. to move out and we were never late . Carpet cleaning 836.78 cleaning 250.00 paint job 372.75 another cleaning charge 155.00 2 light bulbs 5.00 drip pans 20.00 stain on carpet 60.00 window blinds 80.00. They charge more to move out than in our rent was 931.00. You would think by the charge the apartment was trashed , it was not. I washed wall monthly , shampooed carpet monthy, vacuumed daily. That apartment faced the sun at least 8hrs a day and the kitchen vent was over stove they say there was a smell of nicotine, lie. I mopped all the floors the day we moved. I know about window leaks it was horrible and every time it rained the smell of dog was overwhelming. Please be careful moving there it is awful oh yes the dishwasher had standing water in it and the maintenance people and property management said it was normal. I rented from summer '09 through spring 11. ...

I agree with the negative reviews. This apartment complex is sandwiched between state road 37 and a junk yard. Drive around the property before you decide to rent here. My car was broken into while I lived in Rolling Ridge, and I also had my apt. broken into. Management was unsympathetic and rude. I also had an infestation of bed bugs as well as an infestation of carpenter ants. I keep a clean and organized house. These infestations were not my fault. There is shifty activity everywhere in this place, and I'm almost certain that people only decide to live here because of the swanky website with pictures of an indoor pool. Trust me, this place is not worth it. You'll ultimately end up unsafe and paying way too much for nothing. I carry police-grade pepper spray with me everywhere I go now. Please don't consider this place for your own sanity's sake. I rented from fall '08 through fall 11. ...

BEDBUGS. These apartments are AWFUL: Bedbugs, many spiders, and rude management. I moved into these apartment buildings in July 2010 and began having small itchy bites on my arms and feet within weeks of moving in. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something. It was nearly 2 months later that I read an article on BEDBUGS and looked around my bed. I found many bedbugs living between my 2 matresses (where they could stay even if I washed sheets, which I did frequently) and in the carpet along the wall under my bed. I was horrified; I had never had bedbugs before, had not stayed in any hotels in years, and had not known anyone that had ever had them. Management denies ever having the problem before, even though other employees have told me they have had them before. Then I had to pack up basically my entire apartment, sealing things in bags, moving my furniture, to prepare for bedbug treatment (harmful chemicals all over the apartment, bad smell). The treatment process ruined many of my things, and management refuses to reimburse me for anything. Management is extremely rude and unprofessional; They will completely ignore you and not return your calls. I would VERY strongy discourage anyone from considering making this place your home. You very well may be moving in to a place crawling with bedbugs. On top of all this, management is horrible. They do not care what the condition of your apartment is in. They do not even have the common courtesy to return yout calls/emails. Extremely unprofessional and manipulative. Also, many things around the apartment do not work right. My toilet does not flush right; I have called maintenance to fix it 3 times now. The walls are so thin I can hear every movement of the people above/beside me. I have anxiety now from the bedbugs infestation, and am constantly looking for them and imagining I have bites. It has been a nightmare living here, and I truly wish I had never signed a lease here. I cannot wait to get out of here. I rented from summer 10 through winter 11. ...

My wife and I lived at Rolling Woods Apartments, owned by Millennium Properties (now Bloom). We are out of college adults and if you are planning on making this place (or any place owned by Millennium/Bloom) please reconsider your options. We lived at Rolling Woods from August 2006 - July 2009. The day we moved in, we noted bugs in the refrigerator, ants in the windowsills. As time went on, we had serious problems with leaks in our living room window, which resulted in a nasty brown substance running down the window. Many times we let Millennium know about this, and they would say they fixed it (sometimes leaving a maintenance note, sometimes not), but it would continue to leak. They FINALLY called in a contractor who literally ripped the front face of the apartment off, exposing ROTTING timber and what seemed like a never-ending amount of ant colonies. Even after replacing the lumber, it STILL leaked and left water damage. Did I mention that the whole time the face of the apartment was ripped off we had bugs crawling in? The unit was terribly insulated, with tons of gaps in windows and doors. Our winter electric bill would be in excess of $150 for a 700+ sq ft apartment! For safety, they did a terrible job keeping the sidewalks safe, and I slipped and fell on ice that had been there the WHOLE day and no one had treated. I received a separated shoulder with torn tendons because of this. Another time our unit's A/C got backed up and started getting water everywhere. We did our best to clean it up, and finally they fixed it. But in the meantime, mold and mildew started building up in between the walls and when I called the property manager to have someone come in to take care of the mold issue, they wouldn't! I threatened at this point to sue, but when I called the city's health inspector he said that this particular section of Bloomington is not annexed by the city and therefore is not in their jurisdiction! This also means that they don't have follow things like HAND and other guidelines! They did bring in a dehumidifier but it never made much of a difference since the mold/mildew was BETWEEN the walls. This resulted in my wife and I having terrible allergies and a general feeling of unwellness. To top it all off, we spent the last three days of our lease cleaning the apartment, including doing our own cleanup of the carpet (which I recommend, Stanley Steemer charges $76 and Millennium will charge you $100-$130, but save your receipt to give to them, and get a copy), but when we came to do our inspection, we saw the cleaning ladies already in our apartment. We hadn't even moved out officially yet! I was furious and again got the property manager (Glen) and she said we'd had agreed by signing a waiver. I demanded to see the waiver. She complied and within 10 minutes brought us the waiver, WHICH WAS NOT OUR APARTMENT OR OUR NAMES! I was furious! They were because of this going to charge of for items we had left on the porch to throw away (which I think they charge $40 per bag) and missing keys (which we obviously hadn't turned in yet). My wife yelled how stupid they were and stormed out of the meeting between us and the property manager. In closing, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The only reason we stayed was that at the time I did not have as well paying a job as I have now, and same for my wife. They charge a crazy pet fee ($25 a month plus $400 deposit), as well as other nickel-and-dime things. They also claimed we missed a payment one month when we didn't, and had to do a stop-check because they lost the check. ALWAYS get a receipt from them. We did. The drywall as stated earlier had practically no insulation, and for years had to put up with noisy, partying neighbors. Not a good place for those outside of the college realm. If there is any good to this place, it's probably John, the head maintenance man. He was always very nice, very professional. Wish more of the staff and maintenance could have been like him. STAY AWAY FROM MILLENIUM PROPERTIES! I rented from summer '06 through summer '09. ...
