The management for 9&9 is the worst I have ever come in contact with. The location of this apartment complex was great, but other than that (and the ward), I had a terrible experience living here. They charged me $300 for a security deposit at the beginning of my contract, only guaranteeing I would get $150 back when my contract was up. However, at the end of Winter semester, they claimed they changed utilities companies (without notifying us residents) and didn't have record anymore of who paid what for utilities. So they decided to take out $60 out of everyone's check ($30/month), so I only got $90 back. Which was extremely frustrating, especially because that other $150 I paid at the beginning of the semester was used for who knows what. And even getting that check for $90 was an absolute joke, because they lied several times to me over the phone telling me the check was in the mail and I should be getting it soon, only to find out that they still were holding it in their office. With that being said, I didn't get the check until about 3 months after I moved out for the summer. Additionally, they charged an insane amount for parking every single month, and as mentioned in other reviews, the guest parking was practically nonexistent. Please DO NOT rent from this management company. I ignored these terrible ratings and moved in anyway, and now I regret it more than anything. It caused so much frustration and wasn't worth it. I rented from fall 2017 through winter 2018. ...

Do you want to come home to a living nightmare every night? Then move to this steaming pile of crap called 9and9. I seriously thought about living in tent instead of living here. Every chance I got I was at a friend's place or just hanging out on campus. The ward is alright though. I rented from spring 2016 through summer 2016. ...

I cannot recommend a different place enough. Nelson Brothers is the worst management company known to man. Parking lot is falling apart, they charge exuberant amounts for a parking spot, never have available guest spaces, there is plenty of mold, paper-thin walls, and the location is so not worth it. The utilities are the most expensive utilities I've ever paid anywhere, and my roommates are all very conservative with electricity and water. If you post a bad review, or send an exasperated email, management has no issue texting or calling you and telling you that you are rude and inconsiderate. Level of professionalism is inexplicably low. You pay a $150 "processing" fee to handle your application, which is non-refundable. Very little of your deposit is actually refunded. I rented from spring 2016 through winter 2017. ...

This complex is managed by Nelson Brothers. They are the worst. They charge wayyyy too much along with being totally unethical. Only good thing is that it's across the street from BYU campus. We had mice, mold, ridiculously high utilities and a variety of other problems. About half the students who live here has filed complaints with BYU housing and conflict resolution. Also, they sold more parking passes than they had spot for. I rented from fall 2015 through spring 2016. ...

Management is awful. Every time i tried to contact them it always took 5-6 calls and/or emails just to get an answer. They basically took 90% of my deposit and I had paid almost $200. I have lived in other places and they usually gave me back 75-80% of my deposit. Parking is a nightmare and I didn't even have a car. The ward was cool and we bonded over our hatred of 9&9 management. The apartments are a joke and the pictures on the website or that they send are bogus. Try to move anywhere else because it is sucks here. I rented from winter 2015 through fall 2015. ...

The worst renting experience that I have had. The management company Nelson Brothers is indifferent and sly. At one point I called and left 5 messages over a 2 week period before finally getting ahold of management. The apartments are nasty and all are different. The pictures they send are misleading as only 4 or 5 apartments actually have the pictured remodels. I left after 1 semester. not at all worth their outrageous rent prices, but because there is such a high demand for apartments they will probably sell out anyway, and that is sad to me. They do not deserve your business unless they make serious administrative changes. I rented from fall 2015 through fall 2016. ...

I hated it here. The only good thing about this place is the fact that it's close to campus. Even with new appliances, the actual apartment is crap. Management was always changing and they really suck about getting stuff done. The whole building had mice over the summer and it took them forever to even put out traps. The ward was so-so. Parking is a nightmare and some people don't hesitate to tow you if you park in their spot. Almost everyone pays different prices so some might pay less than $250/month others pay $350. I can't express how much I hated it here. I rented from spring 2015 through summer 2015. ...

I used to live here and the management was terrible. They took forever just to give me a portion of my deposit back, despite BYU's requirement to have deposits returned within 30 days. They refused to pay the $100 penalty for a late refund. When I asked why they hadn't refunded my deposit yet (after almost 3 months), they said that they just didn't have money in the bank account so it wasn't really an issue. I know several tenants who had the same issue. Management hardly ever answered the phone or even returned phone calls. For the entire month of January we had a broken furnace despite our several attempts to get them to fix it. They only fixed it after we refused to pay some of our rent. We had a broken door, a huge hole in the wall, a broken shower door, and a lack of shower pressure, none of which were ever fixed by management despite our requests. Then they went and took some of the deposit for cleaning charges, which I had never seen them do. Also, another tenant was charged the same cleaning fees as yearly tenants when she lived there for only one semester. Overall, I was unimpressed. I rented from fall 2013 through winter 2014. ...

9&9 is super close to campus. I love how convenient it is to be able to walk to campus whenever I want to. The apartments just got new managers and I am super impressed with all the work the new management has put into the apartments. The apartments are all being redone right now and they look super nice! The ward here is really great. It has a good mix of people and there is always something to do. I like the setup of the apartments. It is very nice to have the private study room and your own closet. I have never had any problems with parking, which I have found to be rare in the different places I have lived in Provo. I have really enjoyed living here. ...
