Warning - Do Not Rent At "Sherwood Meadows" or "Oxford Grant" or whatever new name they change the building at 255 East Lincoln Highway to - you will surely regret it. The company has changed then mane of this unit to hide it's checkered past. I strongly advise anyone considering moving here to google "Oxford Grant" before signing a lease... There is serious problems with the plumbing, and apartments flood regularly. At least once a week they turn the entire building's water off in an attempt to patch the problem because they do not have the money to fix their issues. There is no security and I have had my tires slashed and my car keyed. Paint is peeling off the walls and there is mold growing behind it. The laundry rooms are filthy and there are hole in the ceiling where water leaks have literally caused chunks of the ceiling to fall out. There is a very good reason that the office staff strongly encourages you to get renters insurance - you can certainly expect your belongs to be damaged by faulty maintenance. The staff will not offer any compensation for belongings damaged or time lost due to their wrong doing (multiple reports have been filed against them with the Better Business Bureau). However, the staff will quickly and eagerly attempt to hit you with any pet fees, late fees, and pull every dime they can from you. This is not a good place to live! Don't take my word for this - go see for yourself. Notice that out by the dumpsters there are currently (as of 11/09) 7 couches and 8 mattresses piled there from people moving out as fast as they can. At least there is now ample parking!
