The owner of this property is a spiteful, deranged man who harasses people walking by. He blames tenants of other complexes for his problems and built a chicken wire fence around his property, blocking a fire lane to do so. He has left threatening voicemails on apartment complex answering machines about "throwing rocks" at people walking through his parking lot. Do not rent here, even if it looks convenient. If that wasn't enough, I have heard from tenants here that the road noise and ants are enough to drive most people off. Stay away. I rented from winter 2017 through winter 2017. ...

Awful. I don't even live here, I live at the complex down the hill and someone THE MANAGER harassed me walking through the parking lot. and I am a trans guy - so when he heard my voice (the person that accosted me) he proceeded to call me a young lady. You betcha I flipped the guy off. He said people like me are a freak. Don't live here if you don't want someone judging you by your colors. This person took the way I was dressed and approached me in a way that was inappropriate. There have been car break ins around here and he took me to look suspicious enough that he accosted me. I'll be reporting this incident as necessary. But seriously, don't move here. The manager is a prick. He told me not to walk through the parking lot that I have FOR THREE FUCKING YEARS to get to the bus. I am no car thief you jerk! Haven't you ever checked out your reflection in a car before? Dude, seriously. Beware, this is not a LGBTQ friendly manager even if the complex says they are. Would give him -666 stars if I could. Thanks for being a misgendering ass hole you twit. I flipped him off as he continued to berate me and I told him you treat me like shit I treat you like shit. Thanks for making a normal person's day (not a thief, a well minded person) horrible. You suck. If you're the renter reading this, don't move here. Go to Greenbriar village apartments instead. They're very LGBTQA friendly, and no one has ever given me shit for wearing my bandana sunglasses and a hoodie over my face. Do not rent here. For the love of god. And if you see this guy, give him a snickers. he needs one. I rented from spring 2016 through spring 2016. ...

Overall, great place for a great price. My fiance and I paid $795 a month and we lived there for 2 years. We paid maybe $25 average a month for electricity which is a bargain. Free water and sewer. Kevin was a great landlord. He came out to fix a water leakage within an hour of me leaving him a message. Rasmussen Village is about 5 minutes from downtown Portland and 10 from Beaverton. Neighbors were nice and respectful. We moved out to find something a little bigger but that was it. I would recommend this place for anyone trying to find a larger 1 bedroom 1 bathroom place close to downtown. We lived there from Spring 2011 to Winter 2013. I rented from spring 10 through winter 11. ...

The manager Kevin is abusive. If it doesn't go his way, he throws a tantrum. When you need something fixed it takes him a while to call back and repair it. The apartment building has many spiders and bugs inside hallways and bedbugs. I had to deal with bedbugs for a year and Kevin did not do a thing about it. Two other apartments had it in my building and it infested to my apartment. The place needs to be fumigated and be mold free. ...

The price of rent is quite high, and everyone pays a different amount! The newer manager is better than the one that managed the apts.4 years ago. Maintaince man is nosey, eying everything you do and everybody. The best thing about this place is it's location, easy bus access, there's like 6 different buss routes to go South or North..to Tigard, Beaverton, or to Downtown, which takes 10 minutes. The bad and worst thing about this place is the high end rent for a low end apartments, the way they look and are kept..They do not look all that grand to have such high rent! When I first moved in back in 2007 I paid $510 now its $750 for a one bedroom. I rented from winter '07 through summer 11. ...

These apartments are pretty cool for the vintage charm. The ones in the courtyard aim straight at mt hood for a view. All hardwood. However I don't think I would go back. The kitchens are a bit funkily arranged, the fridge is sort of make-shift fitted into the kitchens. They have problems with ants. The building be so old also has some odd aromas throughout. They run on radiators which can be quite an annoyance at times. They get ants bad in the summer. Also, dealing with all the closing matters in the end revealed a little bit of shady business policy on the management side. Apparently the landlord forgot to charge me an extra $20 a month for a pet cat and snake. So upon moving out he took like $240 out of my security deposit to cover that unpaid $20 each month. Which ok, sure it's in the contract, but in the proffesional business world, what kind of shady contractor would call someone up after a year and be like "Hey I forgot to charge you $200 on a $10,000 contract from last year, your going to have to pay that now". At this point I kind of felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman, which arguing with such a type is really just a waste of time, especially over $200, so whatever. Then I spent an entire day mopping the apartment, and bleaching and scrubbing all the kitchen and bathroom surfaces. The thing was pretty spotless. Maybe I missed a few spots around some areas of the fridge or corners in the bathroom. Someone could do a second run through and find some missed areas. I'd expect to pay maybe $100 at most to hire a maid to do this. Nope, landlord took out another $300+ for 'cleaning'. Whatever. Cool place, but don't plan on keeping your security deposit. I wouldn't even waste time cleaning the place when you leave, seems like the landlord will find some way to work that out of you. I rented from fall 10 through spring 11. ...

This place is awesome. Almost afraid to give away the secret of how cool it is. Manager, Kevin, is an awesomely nice guy. You are 8 minutes from downtown via bus (and there are about 8 different busses that will get you there). Driving to downtown is just about as fast. Yet you feel like you're living back in the woods, in a way. The only drawback is the noise from I-5. These apartments, though, are clean, beautiful hardwood floors, most have great views of the river or Mt. Hood, and you're right above John's Landing, which is a great place to shop, eat, etc. I rented from fall '09 through winter 11. ...

Rasmussen Village was close enough to downtown to be accessed within minutes yet still outside of the "chaos" that goes with downtown living. The apartments are well maintained and I never had any issues that were not dealt with immediately by the management. The Manager has a great attitude and never presented any issues. He was totally understanding of any situations that arose while I lived there. He also has a very relaxed attitude with a sense of humor. The Grounds are like living in a small park, there is tons of space to garden, read or just get outside without even having to leave the property. Their is a bus stops that have around 6 or 8 buses that stop there so access to public transportation is never a problem. I rented from spring '04 through fall 10. ...

EXCELLENT value! I feel very lucky to live here. Barbur is noisy but windows block out much of the noise. The location can't be beat. Lots of light, spacious, and vintage charm throughout the unit. Extremely kind, responsive, and pleasant landlord and maintenance staff. Great views of Mt. Hood on a clear day and a bunch of buslines stop right in front of the village.
