There is only one good thing I can say about Central High, and that's that the apartments are very uniquely set up inside. I enjoyed the space inside the apartment as well as the amazingly large windows. Some problems: 1) The security cameras do not function. Before signing the lease, management assured us that the parking lots were monitored by security cameras, however, after two car break-ins, the leasing office admitted that the security cameras are never recording. 2) The "security guard" told at least one homeless man that the security guards are not working and may ask tenants for money and food in the parking lots with no consequence. I know this because a homeless man tried to open my car door for me and ask for food at night, and said that the security guard told him it was okay to do so. 3) There is never anyone in the leasing office. Almost every single time I go to the leasing office during their office hours, there is no one there. One three different occasions the UPS delivery man asked me to confront the leasing office, because UPS and FedEx cannot drop off packages at the office like they are instructed to do because no one is ever there. 4) Repairs rarely happen. I have, multiple times, asked for the same repair done for damages in my apartment that were here when I arrived, and each time the office has assured us that someone would be sent over. It hasn't happened. And it's not for lack of my asking. 5) This one isn't really a problem, just an inconvenience which may not be important to all people. There is no outbox for mail in my building. There is an open box that anyone can remove mail from with a sticker that says "outbox" but the post office worker rarely collects outgoing mail from that box. It's just annoying, not really a big problem. Overall, the apartments inside are fine and unique, but management is terrible. The parking lots do not feel safe, and are not appropriately monitored. Repair work will rarely be done. Don't worry, I am moving out now that my lease is up. I rented from spring '06 through summer '08. ...
