DO NOT LIVE HERE. The staff is absolutely horrible and do nothing to help you. You're better off going directly to maintenance if you need anything done. When I arrived, the place had not been cleaned (ramen noodle all over the carpet and grease on the stove, etc.) and the whole place reaked of cigarette smoke even though it's supposed to be "non-smoking." My mattress had a huge blood/vomit/food/drink stain on it and they did nothing to help. I replaced it with my own and asked them to come pick theirs up, but they kept saying there's no storage. When the maintenance man came to fix our dryer and table (both broken when we got here) I asked him to take it and he did. When I signed the lease I did so on the terms that I would have shuttle transportation. The DAY I MOVED IN they told us, oh by the way we got rid of the shuttle and we now use the public bus line. This bus only runs once an hour, but usually that means once every two hours. I wait at least 2-3 hours each day waiting to get back to my apartment. When I contacted the office with this problem they told me to contact the bus line and if enough people complained they would probably start another bus here. The manager himself told me it would be too expensive and thus impossible and when I told the office this they just said there was nothing they could do. Living here has been absolutely awful and if there was a way to get out of my contract I would. They haven't done a thing to make me happy this year, so it really isn't "all about the residents." Oh, and just on a side note.. Most places have you pay a security deposit for an animal. Here you pay $200-300 to have a pet and it's not a deposit. MVAP is greedy and careless. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

Management does not take care of anything when asked. My neighbor left garbage in their outside storage. When maggots and other bugs began appearing in my apartment, it took several requests from me and two months before an exterminator came up to take care of the problem. There are multiple sealing problems due to errors in construction, allowing spiders and other bugs free entrance. The latest is bed bugs. Naturally, they are not spaying the entire complex, or even letting residents know. It's a decent sized apartment for a decent price (cable included!), and is the only apartment complex in the city that allows pets, but the management is lazy and never follows through or takes care of any problems without badgering from the resident. I rented from summer '09 through summer 11. ...
