The new manager is doing a lot of work, but it's not exactly top quality. The earthquake remediation left my place destroyed. Gaps where the walls meet the floor and ceiling, paint spatter on the floors and bricks. And those bricks really need new masonry. I can see all the way through the wall in one place. Creepy contractors used my bathroom while doing the work. (I had to live somewhere else for 11 days and 12 nights while it was being done. Got a $50 rent credit for my trouble.) And the roaches. Jesus. Laminate "wood" flooring, bay windows, and high ceilings are all great, but the place has been really poorly maintained over the years. The pipes are mostly fixed, but we're still waiting on windows that actually open. The gate to the alley now locks, so no more homeless people in the basement (and no more reports of stolen packages and laundry). I rented from fall '09 through summer 11. ...

No parking (metered only) - rent is great for downtown - as safe as it could be considering it is right in the middle of downtown - cameras were installed a few months ago so management is trying - the building is really old (1910) so you cant expect much - the selling point is the location and the cheap rent ...

These are the best value for studios in belltown. When i had moved in the building was a mess under the old manager. There were druggies in the hall and graffitti everywhere. since the winter of '10 the new manager has made some improvements and kicked out the riff raff. New carpet & paint along with better tenant profile has really made a different. looking forward to the next few months here. ...

For the price the location is great. However there are alot of druggies that find there way in, even for a secured building. The are a lot of hispanic families here too and they are always found sitting and drinking out front of the building as well as inside in the stairwells. The manager isn't very quick to responsed to you if something in your apt breaks and needs to be repaired, but he is quick to kick you out if your rent is a day late. I rented from fall '06 through winter '08. ...
