Very dishonest management who make promises they will give you free parking if you sign a lease by a certain date and then refuse to give you free parking. The apartment was so disgustingly dirty and the cupboards were falling off the hinges. The washers are always broken and there are definitely not enough either. ...

I like the clean, modern feel of Centennial apartments. They are a social apartment complex and have access to a pool, hot tub, fire pit, and grill. The parking situation is very nice and maintenance is quick to come and fix issues that tenants have.

The management and their communication is terrible. It says on their website what hours they are open and then they close early often. When you call no one ever picks up and they don't return calls. The office doesn't work with you, nor do they care. The after hours β€œemergency” contact company is rude and didn't consider the smell of gas in an apartment as something to call on after hours. The parking situation is even worse and once again they are having bedbug issues. The only nice thing I can say about Centennial is the location is off a busy street and quiet. I rented from fall 2019 through fall 2020. ...

I was considering living at Centennial and had an interesting experience in the office. Before signing a contract here you need to know up front a few facts about management: If you want to move in with specific friends that is not guaranteed by the office that signs the contract with you. If you "request" a room before signing a contract that does not bind them to give you that room. In my girlfriend's experience, she signed a contract, requested a specific room with two of her friends. It was a six girl apartment and 8 girls made requests for the room and so they automatically relocated my girlfriend and one of her friends to an apartment out of that ward. When we went to management to talk about it they told us there was nothing they could do other then move her to a third apartment. Something else to take into consideration, when you go to sign, look at who is actually signing the e-contract, if possible ask who that signer is. That signer is neither the owner or the manager, he is an assistant employee who they've decided to let sign away his name on all the contracts. In reality he has no power in the contract, if you ask him for help he doesn't know the answers to questions and will send you to the lovely property manager named Veronica. Veronica is a ray of sunshine. (Obviously this is sarcasm) When we tried to talk with her about the issue she got irate and wouldn't talk to us, she flat out refused to talk to me when she was disrespecting my girlfriend because I hadn't physically signed the contract. If you want to deal with management that cares more about keeping your deposit than making your stay here a good experience than go ahead and sign, you may get lucky and have a great experience. But if you're looking for genuine customer service and management you can trust there are plenty of other places in Provo that you can live without having to beat your head against a wall. As an added bonus, the one apartment I was able to look at had a lot of cosmetic maintenance issues. If you move in here make sure you make note of those when you fill out your check in packet or you may end up paying for those when you move out. ...

Centennial isn't the best, but it is pretty good, and not expensive. I'm writing this review on January 30th, 2014 after living here for 2 years. The furnishings are a little dated. Cabinet space is good enough, but fridge space is hard. Dishwasher is old and is more of a sanitizer than a washer. It also leaves hard water stains. Each room comes with a /single/ desk, and a bunk bed (standard double). There is only 1 chair for every person, so if you are eating at the table or working at the desk, you'll have to move the chair. The rooms are a good size, but the lack of a second desk/chair can leave you without a place to sit and do homework. Couches are okay, but the chairs need to be replaced. There isn't much space in the drawers, so that can be a hassle, but has a good amount of closet space.. I generally hanged most of my clothes. There is not a washer/dryer in the apartment, and the card operated one will bleed you dry. Also closes at around 10 to 11, and isn't open Sundays, even though it's completely self service (those crazy mormons...) Not a lot of washers/dryers so be prepared to wait for one. Each room has 2 Ethernet jacks, with about a 5 Megabit connection per jack. I've found the connection to be very stable and reliable, even during peak netflix hours. They have just installed Google Fiber into every room, but don't have an option to opt-out of the regular internet/cable package that's about $15 a month on your utilities. 2 bathrooms, 2 sinks per bathroom. The water generally can stay hot for all 6 if everyone agrees not to have the shower at full bore. The water pressure is high, and you only have to turn it up to about a third of full power to get regular shower strength. The shower heads are a little low. I'm 6' 6" and the shower head comes up to the top of my chest. Each shower is also a combination tub. Utilities vary. I'm not positive, but pretty sure the use of the entire building is divided evenly over all the tenets. I've had them as low as $30 and as high as $45 (including cable/internet) Everything is managed though their site for rent and maintenance. Maintenance is quick. Cleaning checks are pretty easy going (Unless it's her time of the month if you know what I mean...) Wards are good, activities from wards/centennial are good, but not very often. Parking is a hassle. There isn't any covered/guaranteed parking, so every spot fills up, plus the road, plus a few of the spaces in the church across the street. They don't tow there, so don't worry about the sign. Centennial is too far away from anything to walk. You must have a car or like the bus because fast food is far, campus is far, groceries are far. The only close things are a gas station, Taco Bell, Little Caesars, and Gold's Gym. TL;DR: Average to Good. The place is old, but well maintained. Prices are excellent. Don't go here if you don't have transportation. I rented from winter 12 through winter 14. ...

I really liked my time there, only leaving because of ward/dating crud. The Bishopric was amazing and really tried to look out for people. Maintenance was always quick to take care of things, though things were always in disrepair. And the dishwasher (though working) always left white film on the dishes. Sprinklers are also set to really odd times. Overall, I loved it, and it was a great place to be. I'm really surprised when I hear that some people didn't like it. I am always surprised to visit local apartment rating sites and find that Centennial gets high reviews. Then I notice that these ratings were leveled before this year, during which I have noticed that everything has literally gone to Hell. Don't be fooled - the rent isn't as low as the quality of the housing, and they'll gouge you at any chance they get - even failing you on for a cleaning check you couldn't complete because you had to attend your grandmother's funeral. Kitchen and living room is a little small for 6 people but the apartments are pretty nice and there are 2 bathrooms. They are good social wards, plenty to do, and a sweet hot tub with lots of apartments around. Bus stops right next to place so its only a few minutes to get to campus. Its good for the price- I would recommend it. I rented from winter 10 through winter 10. ...

Honestly, Centennial was an ok place to live, the rent wasnt too bad, and if you decorated the appartment and keeped it clean it was okey.. Some people said their appartment was really dirty and gross when they moved in, but ours was really pretty clean. Some apartments have nice new couches some have really sick old ones. Ours were new but you might as well sit on the floor cause there so hard. The cleaning checks are not too bad, as long as you do what they specify. They just remodled the rec-room, but its still nothing exciting. There are bunks in the rooms so its kinda annoying, but not too bad.. 2 bathrooms, 4 sinks, 6 girls. The hard water is horrible! I took my clothes home to my parents hous to wash so they didnt get ruined,I washed my hair at my parents house whenever i can! The managment is really helpfull, they fix things super fast, usualy within 24 hours. The parking is fine as long as you dont come home after 12 youll be fine. They dont tow or boot anyone, even over night... so that was really nice. But the parking spots are really really small, I could barely open the door to get out of my car sometimes, and i have a really small car. Also, my car got broken into once The ward is sposteto be one of the most requested wards in the area, but it really wasnt social at all. Its very clicky, really hard to meet people because the whole ward is fully of groups of people that only date and hang out with their group. If you are looking for a really social place, i would say centennial is the very last place to go. I am moving out asap! I really dont care for the whole general area south of campus, and I will for sure not be south of campus next semester! I rented from fall '09 through fall '09. ...

There are loud noises whenever a neighbor showers. The landlord sucks. They take forever to fix things, and things break a lot. The maintenance workers are lazy and sometimes won't fix things because, "it will take a long time." The rooms are tiny, and overpriced. The parking is too small (thin spaces) and too few. The girls that work in the office are rude and snotty. The furniture is broken and management won't replace it. Overall this place is terrible. A real mistake to live here. The people were awesome! I loved living here except for the management, they were AWFUL! They took my rent money and put it to other stuff. They were horrible and rude. The wards are great and always have stuff going on. There are 6 people to an apartment, but if you get along with your roommates then it can be a blast. Management is usually pretty good at fixing stuff right away. Its about a 15-20 min walk to campus, or there is a bus stop on 9th. I've lived in Centennial for 3 years now and am so sad to be leaving. I absolutely love it here. The only complaints I would have are that its kinda far from campus, I'd rather have my own room, and its really expensive to do laundry here ($1.25 to wash, $1 to dry) I rented from fall '05 through winter '08. ...

If you get a good group of room mates the social life is a BLAST. But management is stingy and the cleaning checks are ridiculous. They will try and get everything out of you they can, and they aren't very willing to compromise or help. I rented from fall '06 through summer '07. ...

Centennial was pretty cool. I wouldn't want to live there in the winter though. Too far and the apartments aren't the nicest abodes. Also beware centennial will nickel and dime you for all you're worth to make up for the cheap rent. I rented from spring '07 through summer '07. ...

Honestly I hated Centennial. It is an extension of the dorms, no joke! If you get home after 10 PM you get crappy parking. I didn't feel like people were very friendly at Centennial either. I moved out and will never live there again. I rented from fall '05 through winter '06. ...
