There is some real crook stuff going on here, I’m not kidding. They withheld a large portion of the deposit, and one of my roommates made an effort to get it back. They were rude and refused to help or even try to verify the withholding. They said it was because we failed the final cleaning check. Pretty sure you’d have to replace the walls completely to pass as “clean walls.” They’ll take everything they can. I’m amazed that they can get away with what they do, there’s no way it’s legal. I’ve heard all apartments managed by red stone do this and get away with it. This friend also had a light that was loosely placed fall and shatter on his head. He had a concussion and fell behind in his classes yet he chose to take no legal action just because he was nice. Don’t let them convince you that this place is “the most social,” I met very few people here. Met more people at other places in Provo that I know charge half as much. There’s certainly more social housing elsewhere that is cheaper and in better condition. Bathrooms are moldy unless you scrub them down every week. Kitchen cabinets were falling apart when I got there. I’d reccomend liberty square to no one. ...

It’s not too bad but it’s definitely not worth the amount of rent in my opinion. I also find it weird that there are different layouts of apartments that vary in quality but the rent is the same price for all apartments.

It is annoying with covid how they closed all the amenities and still made us pay for them. The people here are nice though. The apartments are very over priced though for the quality. They could use a serious remodel.

Liberty Square is a great place to live when corona is not a thing. The people are really great there, and there is a lot to do. The staff isn't very good at helping out when you have questions or problems, but there aren't typically problems so it's not too big of a deal. I have really enjoyed my time at Liberty Square. It is very social and I have enjoyed the amenities that are provided. The two main things that frustrate me are how poorly maintained it is (the basketball court is almost not kept up at all, and the apartments are poorly managed) and some frustrations that I've had with the management. ...

Very social experience! A perfect place if you want to meet people and always have something to do! But although the apartments are newly redone, there are still issues with it. My AC sometimes leaked or smelled weird ad my fridge went out quite a bit (an easy fix with the breaker box but still annoying). That being said, I’ve really enjoyed my time here! ...

Liberty Square has terrible management that is always rude and will do whatever it takes to get more money from you. All they care about is making money and will do whatever it takes to rip you off. I rented from fall 2019 through spring 2020.

Excuse the long review but I feel that all must know So I spent only one semester here before I decided it was time for a change. It was rough for the first few months but after a while I was able to get used to how "clicky" it was. would I ever go back? Most likely not. So I'll start with a list of pros: -it has a pool and hot tub -nice fire pit and grill -it has a gym -the office is pretty nice (the condition of the office, not talking about the management) -management is chill; I didn't really have problems with them although I could see why people do get pissed with them -if you like the "clicky" college life; that is you like to chill with ex jocks, tools and cheerleaders or "has beens" in high school, this place is for you. (for me at least, I'm not that kind of person. What you were in high school does not dictate who you are as a person). cons: - nasty bathrooms. When I arrived to my apartment, the inside of the tub was green and there was mildew on the walls. -it looked as if when the repairs were made, a 4 year old from my mom's preschool cut the piece of plastic to cover the tub to the wall; i'm no craftsmen but I do know how to use a saw and cut a straight line. -the tub/ shower really isn't even a real one; they just bought a plastic insert at home depot and just glued it to the wall. -you pay 350 bucks a month to a share a room in a clicky area yet you can find other places that charge the same price with your own room. -to me, internet isn't life and death, but when you are a full time student who has to turn in papers and read pdfs, it can be a real life and death situation. I had to go down to the village and use my friend's wifi for 3 days at the start of UVU's winter semester just to do homework. - the washers and dryers absolutely SUCK!! The washers would not wash my clothes; put it this way: I wear white pants as it is required for my job and my pants would come out of the washer still with the same stains that I had sprayed days before with oxi clean stain remover. I had a few buddies who lived in the manavu apts across the street, used their washer, boom problem solved. Stains gone and oh yeah, my pants smelled like detergent when I took them out. -if you think the washers suck, the dryers are even worse. They make your clothes smell like someone's sweaty gym clothes were just in the dyer about 30 min before you put yours in. I would buy the strongest smelling lavender dryer sheets and still, my clothes would come out smelling like a sweaty pair of gym shorts. -you don't have a pantry. At least for me. I lived in the concord building and man, I walked in and saw a Rubbermaid put together 50 dollar black plastic shelf that you'd see in your dads garage to store is tools, flats of water, etc. But really??? as a pantry? come one, we ain't that ghetto! -Parking is really hard. I had a parking pass during summer so that was really helpful but between January and May, it was so hard to find parking, especially if you are a student who has a desire to work and sustain yourself, it was so hard. I would get home around 10 or 11 at times and boy,, it was impossible. -we had no a/c during the summer...……… enough said. So with all of this said, I hope that whoever reads this benefits from this review. Again, my hope is that you read this and benefit from the review. Again, Social life is great if you enjoy clicks. if not, don't move here. If you want the genuine "apartment feel", don't move here. they just feel like freshman dorms. If you are a BYU student who just needs a place to live close to campus, this is the place for you. I rented from winter 2018 through summer 2018. ...

My car got booted after living there for 3 months because i was given the wrong parking sticker for underground parking. Management was great at getting my account credited for their error. Love the location, very central to everything in Provo. I rented from fall 2017 through spring 2018. ...

The only redeeming qualities at Liberty Square are the amenities, location, and social life. If it weren't for those, this place would be a joke. Cleaning checks are a joke, the rent is pretty high, and the management isn't very good. But hey, it's all about what you want to pay for I rented from spring 2018 through summer 2018. ...

Love it here! Management has been extremely quick with maintenance repaires (same day or next day). Close to campus, social wards ranging from 19-23 year olds. Gym sometimes has out of order equipment, but it's not bad at all. In my experience the apartments have always been well-kept. Parking...kinda lame if you don't have a pass, but that's not unusual for south provo housing. I rented from winter 2018 through winter 2018. ...

Don't. Rent. Here. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING. I guarantee you and your friends can finds somewhere better for cheaper. Plus they force you to sign a year round contract. If you object, they like to encourage you by saying it will be easy to sell the spring/summer part of the contract because these apartments are so popular, but that is a bull-faced lie. About 3/4 of the guys in my ward wanted to move out in the summer for internships or job opportunities outside of Provo/Utah. 1 or 2 guys got lucky enough to sell their contracts (by paying the guys who eventually bought them.) A bunch of guys moved but weren't able to sell and they had to just pay the remainder of the year's rent as sunken costs, and the rest of us just had to suck it up and live here for the summer. Also, they kick you out a week before finals for the summer term, so even if you resign to staying in Provo and you want to take classes, you are screwed for finals week unless you want to give up even more money just to stay just a few days longer. And to make things worse, the wifi went out during one of the finals weeks, and they took 48 hours to get it fixed. Also, the walkway/stairs leading up to our doors is very disgusting and never clean. And if you fail cleaning checks, they will charge you to send a professional to clean your apartment, but they will never actually send a professional to clean your apartment. Very crappy ownership that takes advantage of students ever since Liberty took over. Renting here is a bad financial decision. I rented from fall 2016 through fall 2017. ...

Sneaky at taking your money. Seems that they always had a reason to charge you for something! soo hard to have peope come over because their is no parking. parking passes were also ridiculously priced. the only thing i liked was the gym. Liberty has changed so much for the better. I moved in just after all the apartments got new carpet, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. We also have a 42" TV with cable in every apartment. Paid $250 deposit,was told we had a space for our daughter. Checked with them a month later they were full. Requested to have deposit sent back to our home address. It's been two months and we still have not received our deposit in the mail, after many, many phone calls and promises that it would or had been sent. Not pleased with the management of Liberty Square. Good at taking your money, but have a hard time, and are slow returning your money after they have filled their apartments ...

Liberty Square is different now than what it sounds like it once was. In November Redstone Residential took over as management, and they are excellent. They have been doing a lot of remodeling and adding neat new features. They have always responded quickly to repair requests, which have usually been for minor things just because I'm kind of picky that way. Nothing major has broken in my apartment. The cost of a parking permit is exorbitant - about $70-80. Be aware that the wards are mostly just-returned RMs and 18-20 year-old girls. For some reason this place has historically attracted mostly those age groups. If you are any older than that it can be hard to fit in. Our ward (36th ward) also had two houses across the street with girls of ages 24-30, and it was pretty obviously awkward for them. Just be aware of this before you move in. Other than my awkward ward, and the cost being too high for my budget, I love living here and am sad to leave. I rented from Fall 2013 through Winter 2014. ...

I just thought that this site needed a more recent rating. At the beginning of fall 2013 we had the old management and I see what everyone means by horrible. We got new management sometime in november and they are awesome! Really some of the best. They are completely re doing liberty square. They painted and put new floor in the gym, remodeled the laundry room, fire pit and key fobs, and a bunch of other stuff. They are painting and putting in the new appliances and tv's in march. This place will be super nice within a couple of months. Social life is great but because of missionary change the age feels kind of young. I had an overall really good experience. I never once got charged, it is definitely very tight parking. With the changes that are happening I might sign another year contract... NEVER rent here! The Management was terrible, I had a man living next door to me who was living with his girlfriend and they constantly were screaming and yelling and having sex. The management refused to deal with it and in turn took it out on me by trying to keep my damage deposit. The rent is too much and the management will try and squeeze every penny they can from you. We were without hot water for almost a week and they refused to compensate us! I rented from fall 10 through spring 11. ...
