Lindley Park Manor

I have been a resident for over a year and a half now, and I must say I truly hate Lindley Park Manor. First, the management (as stated below) does not feel ashamed at all to let you know that you are an incompetent idiot who cannot function and think critically about any issue. They charged me an entire month's rent even though I had my parents cosign (who had perfect credit), but then the very large woman in the office did not hesitate to go over the contract with me and remind me over and over again that there "were to be no parties!" She neglected to understand the fact that I told her multiple times that I don't have parties. She was rude and irritable the entire time I was around her, and she was just as rude to my father. That should've been clue number one.
Next, when I moved in, only ONE PLUG IN THE ENTIRE APARTMENT STILL WORKED! On top of that, the floors were crooked (finding out later that it is because the foundation is damaged and crumbling), there were no cable or phone outlets in the spare bedroom, and the apartment was home to a variety of very interesting bugs. I had to bug bomb my apartment to get rid of all of the insects. All of the seals around the windows are damaged, only 2-3 windows actually lock, and over a year and a half later I still find roaches.
The best part of the whole package are the cracked ceilings and cracked walls (which are dropping nice sheets of lead paint on the floor), along with the mountains of mold coming out of the windows in the main bedroom and bathroom.
Last but not least, the clincher is the massively insane utility bills. While Lindley Park is nice enough to pick up the water and sewer bills, they nonetheless lied about the cost of utilities when I moved in. While I was quoted a sixty dollar average, my electric bill regularly runs between 70-80 dollars during the Spring and Summer. In the Fall and Winter, I'm treated to gas bills ranging from eighty dollars to my most recent bill of $180.92. The worst part is that I keep my thermostat on 70, and the apartment NEVER warms up to 70 degrees. Heat doesn't even get to the spare bedroom.
And if you think I never called maintenance to resolve these issues, you're wrong. I've called on multiple occasions. They have always promptly "fixed" my problems. In fact, I've called on multiple occasions for every complaint above and they have "fixed" each one. The bugs were exterminated by me at my own expense, the mold on the walls was bleached off and the root issue never taken care of, and the broken gas duct was NEVER fixed....unless you call duct tape which lasts a week a "fix."
I'm sick of this place, and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm leaving Greensboro in a few months, I'd move out IMMEDIATELY.
PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH LINDLEY PARK.
