Horrible experience with them. Price might seem good but utilities will empty your wallet. My total bill (utilities ect) for luxury apartments I live in are only $100 more per month b/c the utilities were outrageous with Bob Schmitz. Safety was the reason we moved b/c there were a series of robberies on our street. Bob Schmitz is a horrible landlord to work with. When we got our security deposit back, Bob Schmitz took out money for ridiculous "repairs" such as $25 for removing a poster from the wall and "removing" the mold that was already in the bathroom in the 1st place. He charged us electricity for showcasing the house after we had already moved out. Basically we were paying him to advertise the house without our knowledge or consent. Bob Schmitz is a slumlord in the truest sense of the word: bad houses in bad locations.
I rented from winter '05 through spring '08.
Great house, great location, great price. The only real problem was not a lot of off-street parking. But what do you expect from a house that was built 100 years ago I guess. My friends and I really enjoyed the house, and our parents thought it was beautiful. My next place will definitely seem boring after this...
I rented from summer '06 through summer '07. I paid monthly rent of $1200 during spring/summer.
Who wants to live in an apartment when you can rent a house with a fenced yard, with 2 bedrooms and a den for only $700 per month? Anytime I have needed work done, the maintenance guys are here that day or the next. There's a ton of properties--big houses and really cool apartments in old houses-- right across the street from East campus, too, although they might be a little bit more, I don't know for sure.

I have rented my 4 bedroom/2 bath house for 4 years. You cannot find any better value for the money! I love the old restored mill houses. They are huge and the hardwood floors are beautiful and I have a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and even a security system.

My one-bedroom apartment is HUGE! It is a great building with only 3 apartments in it. The back yard is enormous. The owner really cares about the property and is putting in new sidewalks, landscaping and privacy fencing on the property.
