Living at the West End Terrace for nine months has been terrible. The apartment complex is disguised as a "gated community," when in actuality the exit or entry gate is often broken for weeks at a time. There is no pedestrian gate to access the complex; pedestrians must circle the complex and enter through the auto entry. Our car was broken into once while we lived here; management said there was nothing they could do, despite the fact that security cameras would be a major improvement to the grounds.
One afternoon the maintenance crew swept all the fallen leaves onto the sidewalk, forcing pedestrians to walk in the mud around them. Management must not have been considering the four blind residents who had to navigate around the piles of leaves when they came home mid-afternoon.
I work from home, and I often see maintenance people wandering leisurely about, not fixing the plethora of items residents have requested attention to... such as the cockroaches in my apartment, broken locks on the windows, or missing screens. I have seen over twenty live cockroaches in three months; maintenance and management tried to convince us the problem was minor ?water bugs,? so we saved a few dead roaches to prove they were, in fact, cockroaches.
The fitness center is a joke; it?s more like a storage room and snack bar for management. The people who staff the leasing office are impolite, rude, and insensitive to the concerns of residents. FedEx/UPS packages are oftentimes checked in days late and package notification lags as well.
