Campus Village Apartments (Flint) is a great place to live if you are attending Kettering University. It's right across the street and charges a rent of only about $2,000 for 3 months! If you want to take a lease, you must act quickly because the apartments may be gone quickly. I have had a good experience at Campus Village Apartments. The apartment is a good size, the staff are quick to respond - though sometimes you have to make sure they see your email. I would make sure you bring your own cleaning supplies, because their vendors are not very thorough when they clean the rooms prior to move-in. Otherwise, a good experience! ...

Very hard management to deal with. Very rude and don't care about their tenants. Beware!! I rented from summer '09 through spring 11.

If I had to do it all over again, I would not choose to live here. Lured by the prospects of living with friends while being close to campus, CV offers dated apartments at high prices. More often than not, old appliances would break down, furniture is already lose or broken, and the carpet is stained a dirty brown from decades of use. Internet: The "high-speed" broadband is sufficient depending on which area of the complex you live in and only when it is working. You are rate limited to 756k, and you must pay an arm and a leg to purchase more bandwidth. 30 Extra dollars a month will get you a 1.5Mbps connection, again, provided that the internet is working at the time. Bathrooms: Anti-bacterial shower curtain is a must. Else, your shower curtain will become moldy in a few weeks. The bathroom floors are permanently disgusting with brown gunk in the corners. Bedrooms: Adequately sized and furnished. However, the beds cave in in the middle which is not only incredibly uncomfortable to sleep in, but it is also unhealthy for your back. Kitchens: Also has the same permanently disgusting floor as the bathrooms. All the appliances are aging. The fridges are highly inefficient and heat up the apartment. While I was living in one apartment, the dishwasher leaked all over the floor and the garbage disposal broke more than once. Furniture: Smaller premiums come with better chairs, but all of the ugly green couches need to be replaced. They smell terrible and are falling apart. In my apartment, there was a large hole under the cushion. Sound: If you must live here, live on the top floor (3rd floor). Otherwise you will hear every person above you. Also, live farthest away from the wooden stairs since they make so much noise when people are walking. Bedrooms also have thin walls so you can hear your roommates. Management: You are lucky if you get your deposit back. My roommates also frequently were charged unfairly for broken items. We asked for proof of damages, but there wasn't any response. If anything, make sure you take pictures of every single room, item, furniture, broken object, stain, etc. when you move in or you will most likely be charged for it. Safety: Usually safe. The complex is fenced in and gated so that only students with cards can enter. However, deadbolts on the apartment doors are useless and easy to bump. Overall, this apartment preys on naive college students with some unethical business practices. My recommendation is to only live here if you are forced to by friends, but be prepared to open your wallet. I rented from fall '09 through spring 10. ...

The nice thing about the Apartments are that they are close to the school. The Apartments are also furnished with 1980s furniture which are falling apart. One of the most terrible aspects of these apartments is the spotty internet service provided by RocketNet. The worst part however, is that the management (Amy Raegan) is much to blame for most of the problems in Campus Village. She is lazy, inept, and most of all, incredibly rude to all the tenants of Campus Village. No wonder many students are moving out, and the rest are being told to stay away. I rented from fall '08 through fall '08. ...
