Brookhaven Estates

I lived in Brookhaven Estates for only one year, and as soon as my lease was over I escaped immediately. My experience with this property “wasn’t a good one”. A few of the feature I did enjoy was the size of the apartment, and balcony. These apartments also had ample parking. The price was the lowest for properties in Baltimore County. And the location was also convenient to minor shopping. Brookhaven tends to lour people in with a great move in special, allow you to view their sample apartment which looks nothing like the place we moved in. It‘s very appealing to hear all of the property features, which are nothing like what is listed. Such as a sparkling swimming pool: this pool is very small! Most of the pool chair of old and broken (I wouldn’t even let my gold fish swim in it). Laundry facilities: located in every other building, washer and dryers were new but the rooms they are in make you feel as if you were in a cave. Laundry rooms have cement floors and walls, dim lighting, and water from washer over flood on to the floor. Our first issue when we moved in was that our oven did not working. It took nearly a month to for some to come to fix it. I toilet ran consistently. We experience several electrical problems, such as kitchen, bathroom, bedroom lights, and outlets not working more for weeks at a time. We would have to call repeatedly and threaten to not pay rent for someone to come and fix it. There were also several water outages. I had to go to a relative house to bathe, and sanitize my newborns bottles. During the times we had water; many times the hot water didn’t work for weeks. When we call the rental office they just replied with all property has repair situations and it something to be expected. (Not having water and electric!#!#?) And last, the rodents were outrageous, there was something large clawing at the inside my wall for days. When I called the office the told me someone would be out next week. There was a very large roach population and mice two. To top it all off, to renew the lease rent increase form about hundred dollars more. We were already paying $745.00. I WOULD NEVER LIVE THERE AGAIN!!!
