We rented one of the "luxury" townhomes for over two years and from the time we rented to the time we moved out the complex had deteriorated greatly. There is always garbage strewn around, the landscaping and grass is always in need of trimming and the garbage dumpster and recycling bins are always overflowing and smell most of the time. The quality of carpet, tile, appliances and cabinetry are anything BUT luxury. The apartment management, -------, is surly and nazi-like and will usually great anyone with a snarl. Far from friendly and far from helpful. The pool is usually clean unless there has been a storm, then it can take days for the maintenance staff to clean out the dead bugs and cigaretee butts from the pool. There is a small colony of feral cats that live at the complex and are very sweet if you feed them but leave you alone if you don't. Rabbit Run has a policy of trapping these cats and taking them to the Humane Society for disposal. Since there are other methods available for feral cat colonies, such as TNR, Rabbit Run is just killing these animals because they like too. Everyone knows that killing a cat only ensures another will take its place so it's pointless to kill them like they are. Also, since management does not enforce any policy for dog owners to pick up their dogs crap, it is all over the place and its impossible to take your own dog out without nearly stepping in it. All that baked dog crap really stinks in the summertime. We also had a big proplem with the shoddy building construction and ventilation system bringing in the cooking stenches from the apartment next to us. I like curry, but having it flood my bathroom and garage day after day became too much. Plus, the smell embedded itself in the furniture I had stored in my garage. With all the other REAL luxury places in town to rent from CHEAPER, don't rent from these people, its a pig sty! I rented from fall '06 through fall '08. ...
