Sycamore Place Apartments

I've lived here since July 07 (7 months) and I HATE it.
I think the landlord, Jonah, is very manipulative. The "example" apartment that she shows you is MUCH nicer than the actual apartments. The walls here are paper thin. I can even hear my neighbors cell phone ring. There is a no pet policy, which is very inconvenient. The appliances are very outdated and sound awful. I can't warn you enough about the landlord though. She comes across very sweet and nice when you act interested, but once you sign the lease, she is very rude and unprofessional. The laundry facilities were a very plus when moving here but they don't work well at ALL! I have to go to the laundry mat everytime I want to do laundry. It takes 3 times to get my clothes dry. I do not recommend this facility

I rented from summer '07 through summer '08.
I paid monthly rent of $510 during fall/winter for a private room.
I paid monthly rent of $510 during spring/summer for a private room.

I was extremely disappointed with the Sycamore Place Apartments. The landlord (Jonah) is a bitc* in almost every aspect she could be. I was actually accused of breaking my door when it failed to open one day and had to crawl out the window to go tell maintenance. She holds ridiculous prejudices against college students, so don't even think about getting your deposit back. I tried my best to keep our apartment as clean as possible, actually being dubbed an asshole about it, and received only 100 dollars of our 600 dollar deposit back. This place basically makes money off of screwing the students in which she "supports". The pool is only open until 5:00 PM, conveniently closing when she leaves the office making it useless for people who work or have class during the day (not to mention the pool is the size of my bedroom). At one time my shower broke making it only work for baths, in which we reported on a friday and was deemed not important enough to fix until monday, which turned into thursday of the following week. Overall, I would say go to the UV's. Maria is great, and even if you will lose a lot of your deposit here as well, at least you won't have to deal with the B.S. that I had to and am still dealing with the Sycamore Place Apartments.
