This mega-complex has a great location and does a great job of creating some fancy newsletters and holiday decor. What they are not so skilled at is responsively managing the complex. For example, despite the glossy brochures and promises, the apartment we moved into was absolutely littered with construction debris and grime from the previous tenants that we ended up cleaning up ourselves since we waited for over 4 days before we received the most precursory attention from maintenance. You will be shoveling your own sidewalks and staircases all winter. Another serious concern is parking, which the management specifically stated they were not interested in addressing since there is plenty of parking available on the "main street." Unless you want to walk 5 minutes to get to your door or only have 1 vehicle, look somewhere else.
The management strategy at Horizons is tricky. They invest a good deal into creating a complex that shows well but beneath the veneer this complex is NOT worth the cost or the hassles.
I rented from spring '07 through spring '08.
I paid monthly rent of $600 during fall/winter for a shared room.
