Keep looking. The management of this complex is the worse you will ever deal with. The location to school (Midwestern University) is fantastic, but what you will have to put up with more than takes away from this convenience. For the price (WAY overpriced, which is, in part due to it's proximity to the school), you can do MUCH MUCH better. The grounds are awful-they overwater like you can't believe and this leads to horrendous bug/scorpion problems-but the management team is what really makes it a terrible choice. They are rude and clueless and pray you never need anything fixed. There are many choices of apartment communities to choose from, all within walking distance of campus, and I STRONGLY urge you to do your homework thoroughly. The only positive thing I could say (which could be a positive or a negative thing depending on your situation) is that if you own large-breed dogs, this complex will allow you to live there (for an exorbitant fee, mind you). But beware with this, unfortunately, because most renters are quite inconsiderate and won't pick up the mess after their pet so even if you decide to walk on the lawn on the day before landscaping comes (the only day they don't water 40 times and most of the grounds have a chance to "dry out" slightly so you could think about walking on the grass--you'll need to avoid the piles and piles and piles of dog poop everywhere. Seriously, for the price, there are MUCH better options. Many students like San Lagos (which is a very little bit closer to campus but this distance is seriously nothing to worry about), and I haven't heard hardly any issues about that complex (in fairness, I don't live there and have never visited--it's only what I have heard). The other upside is that it is in a nice, safe, and relatively quiet nieghborhood with many amenities very close--walking would be tough, especially in the hot season, but you can easily drive to everything you need (grocery, library, parks, dog park, campus, and coffee shops). I rented from fall '05 through summer '08. ...
