If you live here and are having problems getting the professional service that you are paying for then contact the district office @ 602-522-2079 and speak with either Erica Reinke, Arizona District Manager, or Misty Newman – mnewman1@camdenliving.com. (I believe Erica and Norma have been colleagues for a very long time, previously working for Archstone-Smith together, so there might not be an adequate accountability system in place between these two.) So, if you still cannot get the appropriate, professional service that you are entitled to from the district office then contact the Camden Living Corporate Office @ 713-354-2500. You do not have to put up with corporate bullying! You have a voice, use it! I am extremely disappointed that I chose to live here at Camden Towne Center. I was initially impressed by the beautiful grounds, plentiful amenities, nice floor plans, and friendly management. Well, it all turned out to be a total façade. I later discovered that this community was built in 1998 and renovated sometime later—which means that the appearance is akin to lipstick on a pig. Immediately upon moving in I noticed the noise—constant, disruptive noise. I can hear the flow of water from each of my neighbors’ toilets and showers, I can hear dripping and leaking coming from pipes in the walls. And worst of all I can hear my upstairs neighbors every footstep. It sounds as if they stomp around like elephants on parade; it’s a constant day and night thundering coming from my ceiling. I can hear another neighbor’s bass through the wall anytime they listen to music or watch a movie. I can hear my other neighbor’s dog howl for hours on end whenever it is left alone. I have literally had to resort to wearing earplugs inside my own home in order to study. The worst part about this place is the apartment manager, Norma Warren. She strikes you as extremely sweet and personable when you first meet her. However, once you become a resident with an atypical issue that demands her attention, it’s as if she becomes a different person. I say this because I have gotten very similar stories from many other residents who all describe Norma as being condescending, dismissive, and non-productive. If you come to her with a problem that is even slightly complex she doesn’t seem to have the will, desire, or problem-solving capability to appropriately, professionally serve her residents. She is rarely in the office, leaving Eddie and Carmella to handle things, which they simply do not have the capacity or decision-making ability to do successfully. To get anything done you must contact the district office, at which point Misty or Erica will address the problem and get something done. Subsequently, you will have to deal with Norma’s chip on her shoulder against you for going over her head and demanding the service that you are entitled to. On a positive note, Eddie has superb customer service skills, is always smiling, and expresses a genuine interest in residents’ problems. Carmella is slightly lacking in the interpersonal skills department, rarely smiling or friendly. She probably won’t last long in the leasing/real estate industry; she just doesn’t have the right personality for it. It’s a shame Nadia left because she was very, genuinely kind and friendly. The maintenance here is prompt and efficient, which is the benefit of a small community. The grounds are well-maintained, however, they over-use pesticides. The sprinkler systems often flood the cement walk-ways and will sometimes come on suddenly and spray you as you are walking along the path. The pools are well-maintained and the business/fitness centers are great, 24-hour access amenities. ...
