My wife and I have rented with Country Club Terrace for about a year. The apartement complex seemed nice at first, with a helpful staff. Do not be decieved!
Upon signing our contract, the management company turned against us.
They asked for an additional $400.00 security deposit. We were confused as we have PERFECT credit and approx $5,000 in savings. However, that was just the beginning of the apartement's greed.
Things in the apartment broke... maint took a long time to fix them.
They found more little fees to charge (including a late rent payment of $50 a day).
Finally, when my wife and I wanted to move out, we came in on the 1st of the month to give our 30 day notice of vacate.
Upon looking at our file, we were told "sorry, you should have come in yesterday. Now you have to pay an additional $1,000.00 for the month of march." We appealled all the way to the vice president of the company, to no avail. While speaking with her we were told of a woman with terminal cancer who was forced to move for treatments. They refused to flex with her situation also - They actually charged a dying woman $1,---.00 because she did not provide "adaquite notice".
As a current, unwilling resident I advise you to find a different complex.
Beware, however, as the management company owns "The Eight Wonders of Flagstaff" and you can expect the same treatment at the other 7.
With their greed and unethical standards, it's a "Wonder" their still in business.
I rented from fall '07 through spring '08.
I paid monthly rent of $900 during fall/winter for a private room.
I paid monthly rent of $950 during spring/summer for a private room.
